I recommend using the latest version. Its has less code so:
1. easier to debug
2. most of the operations are faster compared to the older versions.

okay, so that being said i have to update all the time with the EA to avoid Bugs ?

since I got 9 positions opened in real basket althogh I set "MaxTradesAllowed" to 7 I'd like to ask if "Add new Trade Suggestions on realBasket" is dependent on setting "Once open keep monitoring vBasket once per second" to true?

In other words:
My settings are

MaxTradesAllowed = 7
Add new Trade Suggestions on realBasket = true
Once open keep monitoring vBasket once per second = false

And my real basket was filled with 9 pairs. Shouldn't new trade suggestions in rb be disabled if vBasket monitoring is off?

I used v77, unfortunately I had debugging disabled.

I'll have to see what I did in v77. I am fairly sure that before the EA attempts to open a pair it will check what the number of open trades are and if it exceeds the max it does nothing...

The newer version takes care of all that..

EDIT: Yup I found out what is happening . .. If you tell the EA to go ahead and keep monitoring the vBasket and to allow new trades. There are to spots where it checks the tradeSuggestions and vbasket. For the regular part (no vBasket) the EA is ok and check for MaxAllowedTrades.. but for when u are using a vBasket the EA was not checking the MaxAllowedTrades... thus you would get more trades .
v85.1 and v77.1 Cooooooooooommmmmmiiing up

There are two spots where the EA will check the trade suggestions after a real basket is opened. I am only checking the MaxAllowedTrades on one spot. The other spot is affected by the input "Once open keep monitoring vBasket once per second". So yea, if you set this input to true the EA will go ahead and check the basket again

Thanks for your kind reply, I just upgradet to v85.
UPDATE v85.1 and v77.1

Both updates are aviable at:

Added the condition to check for MaxAllowedTrades when using the vBasket option and setting the input to allow for continue monitoring of vb to TRUE.
This should correct and have the EA ensure that no more trades are opened when the MaxAllowed number is reached.

PS: I have not add this fix to previous working EAs (see previous folder on site) . If you are using any of those EAs let me know and I will update them. Otherwise I will get to them when time permits.

xm7_Ccfp_Wkly_TradeMonitor_v86.ex4

MAJOR error on ME.... I flipped the prefix an suffix strings. So for those using brokers with suffixes this error would make the EA not "see" the suggested trades on the chart. Those using brokers with no extentions did not see this error.

Example:
With the ERROR the EA sees this: "_ecnGPBUSD" instead of seeing "GBPUSD_ecn".
Since there is no "_ecnGBPUSD" symbol in the brokers list the EA would consider that not existing.
The same was done with the rest of the pairs. So an empty basket would be produced

The strings have been flipped and this was tested.. Please download this version..

I believe v77 is a stable version you can use.

The biggest difference between that version and latest version is that the new versions have alot less code and many of the important functions have way better response and accuracy. For example. The basket trail stop in v77 is comprised of about 30 lines of code. In v86 it is only comprised of 7 lines of code.
So why is this important? Well for one it takes the program alot less "time" to calculate the trail stop using the new version, also in v77 since there are 30 lines of code that means that there is more involved, and thus a possibility of possible errors. Where as with v86... there is alot less.

Here is an exaggerated example of this:
Consider this 2 equations and pretend they both give the same answer:

4*x + 5*y + 100/z + x*78 * r(e+t)

x + z

You can clearly see that the first equation we have more of a chances to make a mistake. Either e, t, x, y, or z can be entered wrong and we get a different answer.
Where as with the second equation we have less to make a mistake with, either x or z will be wrong

So the same thing follows with the newer versions vs v77. True v77 works, but its harder to find the errors (needle in hay stack), but v86 alot easier to operate and detect errors.

Can you make the EA to close on a specific date and time for weekly trading? For example, the basket starts on Tuesday at 10:00 and closes on Thursday at 12:00 . I think that would be a wonderful addition to the EA.

Hi Jess - I just discovered this thread some months ago, and this is my first post here at FF, but since I'm developing my own EA (I love to program and I was searching for an indicator like CCFp to use on my EA) I never gave much time to understand and fully try this EA - last week I decided to try the v86 version and suddenly boom I got a huge profit on my demo account. Now I need to understand what I did differently from my previous attempts with older versions. I still don't understand the full impact of many of the actual parameters available on the EA (many of them rarely referred here) and therefore I still have a lot to search, read and learn on this thread and a lot of testing to do - it looks like I'm going to give much more time to your (and this community) EA.
But I still would like to incorporate the CCFp indicator on my EA and therefore I would like to know if you can help me find info about how to do it?
