Hey 8,

I just checked out your chat room... what a great idea. Thank you much for your contribution. I think if we can get some traffic to the room during trading times that would be a fantastic way of multitasking. We could share the responsibilities of monitoring different currency pairs, and watching each others backs.

Synergy at its best.

BTW... I am fairly new to this game, and I'm not quite sure what the "best" trading times are. Would you say US Market open and EUR Opens?

Thanks again,

GrnEydGuy

CT,

I'm curious, how do you put a moving average on the RSI? Also, could you go more into depth on how you use the 144/169 EMA? Also, what do you use to show the daily range? Thank you for your contributions to this thread.

144/169 is a tunnel method , you can find a thread in strategy builder forum start by by strato....do a search, you will find it.

you can drag the Moving average to Rsi window. choose method SMA and choose apply to Previous Indicator's Data....

Thanks Peter!!! I noticed that the indicator didnt show the last 2 or 3 signals on my chart... Check out the USD/JPY on the 1hr and see if you get the same thing.

Can you look into it please.

Thanks,

Sovo, I will give that a shot when I get home. I put the RSI on the chart and then the 5/12 EMAs on last indicators data and the EMA will be placed on the RSI? Huh. I will give it a try. For the 144/169, it is the EMAs Vegas uses for the tunnel method. I know how it works I was just curious as to how CTForex uses them.

Within the past 7 days, the following currency pairs had the listed opportunites to trade.....

EUR/GBP 1 Opportunity
EUR/USD 4 Opportunities
USD/CAD 4 Opportunities
EUR/CHF 3 Opportunities
EUR/JPY 4 Opportunities
GBP/USD 3 Opportunities
USD/JPY 4 Opportunities
AUD/USD 4 Opportunities

As far as how many hours does one trade, that depends on the trader. Personally, I am always near my system and I use trailing stops in case I am away from the computer. The best times to trade are usually at the London Market opening and the US Market openings.

On average, each currency has an opportunity to move every 1.5 days using the sidus method, old and new. If you PM me and send me your email address, I will send you my charts to look at.

Hope that this helps.

This is one important factor that should be considered when trading. For example, the daily average range for the EUR/USD is 120 pips... and within the last 24 hours, it has moved 110 pips, so I expect it to slow down at this point. I captured 108 and jumped out since last post an hour ago.<o></o>

YESS!!! I've used Skype when I was traveling in Centralamerica/USA (im in Europe) and it ROCKS! Smooth, fast and reliable.

BUT! We have to check how many people can be on one single conference call without affecting quality. I have had 4 friends hooked up at the same time (one sitting in Nicaragua, one in USA, one in Germany and another in Portugal) and sometimes it got sluggish....

.....Tonight (Europe time GMT+2) I will check into that one. If some of the MASTERS OF THE SIDUS UNIVERSE could open it (Bagovino? OrangeRoshan? Or....the Master himself SIDUS???) Maybe they are too occupied making millions....

Anyway: Does anybody know about SIDUS? He hasn't posted for a long time I believe....and he started to roll the ball....

Peter.

I agree with Peter... Paltalk is the best for what we want to do. You can name your room... get a password so only invited members can come etc..

I dont know how to set it up, but if someone would take the liberty to that would be great.

Thanks...

I kinda wish we could keep good discussion here.

To me, Paltalk and other chat has always been the death of reasonable discussion and the beginning of fingerpointing, arguing, name calling and general confusion. Plus Paltalk looses your connection a lot. You spend most of your time trying to get back into the room. Let's keep the bulk of this great method and discussion right here on the beautiful Forex Factory. Just my thoughts on past observations.

This system has certainly got a lot of potential. I've read this entire thread and all of you have contributed so much and very generously I might add. After reviewing so many posts it's not clear to me what the consensus is regarding entry and stop - or is there no consensus on the specifics of entry? Thus far, there is an RSI above/below 50 coupled with a 5/12 cross. It's not clear to me if you all are still using the 18/28 or not.

Also, does anyone have an effective money management plan they employ with this system? How do you take your profits?

Thanks for you help! Joe

Hi CT,

I tried to change the EMA and WMA's number values in the Tools editor but it did not work.

Did you have to write your own indicators from the Sidus Method?

Thanks..

I am now playing with the 12 WMA's as requested to see if there is a difference. I tested it on the EUR/USD and see little change. I am going to test it on my other 7 currency pairs.

I hope that my charts I sent to you looked interesting.

Hi Coyan,

I attached the StepRSI but it caused not any change that is, there has not been any trade opened. I attach my presets and a screenshot (the screen looks better than a Christmas tree - lol ). Hope you can help me in finding the problem.

Does anyone have an indicator showing the previous day's high / low? I think that would be an immense help to this system simply because when price hits either it will be a major breakout or reversal.

Also if price opens higher you are looking at an uptrend and opposite for opening lower.

Thanks,

bago
