What's the meaning in your volume bars the bars (green/pink) and the bars (violet/blue) Bullish/bearish bars?
@ziggy, can u calculate the value area using previous day's data? If yes, is there a formula for it.i use An iPad for trading and I can't seem to download yr templates, I was wondering if there a way to manually determine the value area.thankd and anticipating yr response.

Somebody here will know the definitive answer to that, and google would most likely help. I THINK its derived from being 1 standard deviation away from the VPOC location, but that's from memory a long way back - I just allow those clever people that programme do the work, & I reap the benefit

Thanks for the levels. I still get some differences but I guess they are close enough until I expand my knowledge.
I have the following differences today

3 pips higher on Eur/Usd -Short 1(Nice level)
2 pips higher on Aud/Usd -Short 1
may as well be a billion pips out on Usd/Cad (not even in the ball park)
2.5 pips higher on Usd/Jpy

I can see the Usd/Cad level acted as a good S/R and your level is at a good node before the move up but then I'm lost.

If you have anything on Usd/ Cad to show what you see and point me in the right direction that would be great, if not its no prob.

On a different note I traded the POC on Usd/Cad at 1.3412, when I had a look I could see the POC was fresh and their was a good possibility of unfiled orders
per the lower time frame.
Would you have considered this level or left it as the PA and profile is 11 trading days old?

I'd say that the volume around the entry level hasn't yet been tested, so I'm still prepared to trade it

I am taking the -12 <--> +10 as the zone (range) definition here.
Hope my interpretation of the zone is correct , I am not talking about when the price hits the target. That was indeed around 10 pips to go.

I'm really not an expert, I'm sure / hope an expert will give you some proper guidance. I personally want to see a composite profile that covers all the priceaction within a range developed from "new information". So for me I consider the probable 3 rather than 2 US rate increases next year as "new" information, so I set the start of my composite profile where price broke out of the previous range on the release of that news. It will just help me build up a picture over the coming days.

I've no doubt others use it to much greater effect, particularly when it has further developed, looking to trade from top to bottom & bottom to top, I generally prefer my trades to be over and done with in a short space of time, although I have to admit to having a long term short trade open on cable from a lot further up the page than we are now
Did anyone get these on eu and au (not on dales list - they are from todays profile)... I missed both entries by half a pip...

not me, I am only trading Dales levels on these pairs - that is a real bummer when it happens tho, I have 2 cats who would now be running for cover
is anyone else having mt4 issues today, I have 3 different broker screens and I've had freeze problems on all 3 today, not caused by either internet issues at my end or indicators, coz taking everything off made no difference
