This feels like deja vu with GBPUSD. Short from 1.2209 and long EURAUD from 1.4490.

Got redemption on GBPUSD with +39 pips, setup to follow soon. Battling EURAUD and looking for an exit.

Here's the setup for the first GBPUSD trade.

Price made lower highs and the oscillator made higher highs for hidden divergence. Plus the level co-incided nicely with a very responsive area. Got a fortunate exit at 1.2170 as price has reversed over 60 pips already.

Short GBPUSD from 1.2237.

Fell asleep whilst reading but thankfully had entered my orders correctly and target was hit. By the looks of things price came very close to TP and then reversed to near breakeven so falling asleep was probably a god send as I may have exited at that point.

You'll see I entered twice here, once at 1.2237 and then again at 1.2253. The setup looked strong and I was comfortable to trust the setup. Overall a strong day on GBPUSD with +99 pips for the day. That's the good news!

Bad news is EURAUD has legged lower and lower without a sizeable enough retracement. I've done my final average at 1.4416 and have a target around 1.4450 as breakeven, fingers crossed.

EURAUD has come to a conclusion. I held the trade for a number of reasons, one of them being I felt the move on Friday was massively overdone and there was numerous support levels around 1.4430-50 and then again 1.4400 area. With the average at 1.4416 I had 1.4454 as a breakeven area and ended up doing a two part exit at 1.4444 and 1.4451. I took the intial entry on the divergence as shown and not long after I entered it took another leg lower to 1.4460 area which I thought was a good area for a bounce but it never came.

Always feels good to recover a trade like this to a small loss and gets me into a good mindset for the week ahead.

First trade of the week. GBPUSD lined up a nice divergence with the osciallator and waited for a break of the trendline which also coincided with breaking the lows of the London open candle. +25 pips to start the day.

EURAUD in a reasonably tight range going into the London open and sat right on a great area of multiple touches as evidenced here on the 15 minute chart.

On the pip range chart, price made higher highs and the oscillator didn't follow. Ideally was aiming for 1.4440 but chickened out at 1.4442 as I didn't want price reversing again. Ultimately I think it could go lower but for my style of trading I am much more comfortable taking smaller bits more often. +29 pip trade.

Final trade of the night on GBPAUD. I'd been watching this pair for the majority of the London session and looking for price to get to 1.5940 area. If I had to identify a 10/10 setup this wouldn't be far off. Look at the 15 minute chart and the significance of 1.5940. Daily open, cam level and price reacting....

On the pip range chart, I entered around 3-4 pips too soon through eagerness as I didn't want to miss the potential bounce as with GBPAUD price can move extremely quickly. All in all an excellent start to the week with +78 pips.

First trade of the day done and dusted on EURAUD. Price made substanially lower lows whilst the AO stayed flat. +25 pips.

No more trades for a few hours as I have to go out, hopefully back for US open.

Quick result after posting which is always nice. Double entry in half sizes and as mentioned, would have averaged again around 1.4360 if the opporunity arose. As it was, didn't get there but good way to start the day.

I mentioned I was looking for a short on GBPUSD due to this lovely area of resistance at 1.2325 area on the 4 hour chart:

I waited 15 minutes post UK employment figures which were pretty flat and entered a touch too soon and then GBPUSD spiked 40 pips in a couple of minutes. A fair result for +19 pips.

Most likely on the sidelines until NY open unless something pops.

I just found this tread, read it and subscribed (to Instagram to).
Very concise commented, simple charts. Love them.
In trying to mimic your chart layout, I cannot find a working Rangebar indicator on the net. (most of them a pre-6xx MT4 update)
Although you state in your very first post that you will not publish any indi's, can I kindly ask that you can point me to where I can download it?
Best regards,
Ludo

You can find one here. Never used it however so cannot vouch for its authenticity of representing Rangebars. Please let me know how you get on.

Tempted by a short GBPAUD but hasn't quite set up correctly yet. Will give it another 15 minutes then calling it a night.

Thanks for posting, Ludo.

Late start today as I've finally fixed the hardware issue from a couple of weeks ago and back on the original setup.

Looking for a short on GBPUSD if a setup presents and then will be watching EURUSD and EURAUD for a setup post ECB conference.
