Finally 1 year has gone. I started with 300, was down to 150, but finished with more than 800 as a profit. It was a huge experience for me. Will see how it will be in 1 year time again.

1. Money management is VERY IMPORTANT. Finally I understood, that it is almost impossible to make big profit in one moment. It will come, but slowly.
2. Trend is your friend. I never paid my attention to it, but it helps a lot. I like to buy/sell on the news, which moves the pair against the trend.
3. Entry point is sometimes a problem still, but using a correct money management helps.
Slowly, but positively

I deposited 300 GBP, but was down to 150 GBP at the start of December with all closed trades (used 3-4 different strategies at that time). After that I picked one strategy which was most profitable. Since that I transferred my 300 GBP back and have more than 800 GBP as a profit.
I reviewed my entry points - less entries but much better. Still looking for improvement.

Congratz, i made mistake last week. Turn of my mt4 and start it again on sunday. I forgot that my weekend trigger is on friday. Algo start trading earlier than it should be. Without that i should be in small profit last week.

I took a week off from forex trading forex, however, I have still been trading futures almost every day trying to get funded...

As far as my forex account, I'm taking it much slower now. Just a small account, with only goal right now - control risk and no over-trading. After 6 months-year, I may see if I can get funded there too..

No that wasnt my intention, Just be careful as I know it can be a hamster wheel of hoops to jump through. This is based off conversations with traders who passed their combines.

Hello, I just opened a new account for the soul purpose of participating in this thread. I think it will be interesting to see how many people who initially participate in this thread stick it out for a year. Of course I plan to be one, but I guess everyone says that - time will tell..

By September 2017 I only expect to be up between 25-50%. That being said, I won't risk anymore than 5% of the account at any point in time. If I pushed the risk up to 10%, I may be able to gain 50-100%, but it comes back to sustainability. In the big picture, i can safely assume horrible losing streaks and black swans are going to happen within the next 20 years.

Welcome! Thanks for the follow-up/reply post. I missed your first post.

Updated list attached...

I like your modest approach, similar to what I'm doing this time around. Main thing is to control risk, at leas for me, as I tend to risk too much, and just go for it...

I was thinking some more about having modest goals...

Most traders, I think try to make too much money, and can't consistently control their risk (me included).

However, what if all you had to do was make 5% per week? Most would probably think this is not enough gains to make it, unless you have big capital.

However, even if you only start with $200, and make 5% per week, you would have millions $$$ in just a few years, actually 3.2 million at the end of the 4th year.

This really puts it into perspective. If you really keep risk down, as close to 1% as possible, patience will pay off, and it won't necessarily take that long...

If you can do 10% a week, it would give $4 million in 2 years.

But even less than 5% gains each week would still really add up after a short time, and you'd be able to live off trading after a few years. We just need to be patient...

Having said all of that, all you who have hundreds or thousands % gain, I look forward to your millions $$ gain in even sooner

What im doing now is risking 5% per trade, my goal is 10 percent a week, or 40 pips a week, that woul make 2 trades of 20 pips each. so most of the time im just looking the market, waiting for a good chance to get those 20 pips, i just need a good set up and momentum. And its working for now, but im not waiting enough, i entered in trades and not good prices, and that why because im not patience enough.

Overtrading can kill my mind, so im doing this now, i see traders that make 30 trades in one day, for me that is impossible because i dont have time and second is because my addictive personality can kill me.
Im a Crocodile, Im a Sniper. Patience is everything.
