{quote} Greetings TooSlow, and thanks for all your sharing. Markets are a bit slow right now, but I am interested in holding myself accountable to the 10 trade challenge, perhaps next week post-Thanksgiving. Like many, I have limited hours I can observe and probably would not get 10 trades on a single pair in a week, I presume we just continue until the full 10 are posted? FS

Avoid pairs when spread is over 3 pips.

In principle, I totally agree, BUT I find that something like the GA or EN during evening hours (Pacific time) can easily pan out with greater range movement.

Perhaps few would be looking at this time.

Morning TS and friends . . .

I note in reading across the (many) pages of HI-LO that you have (still do?) taken the Daily Open cross, at least occasionally. [take what you can get]

Just wondering if you apply a small "buy zone " around the DO just to see if price will retrace or keep going from entry at the line? Since we enter at the line for the H1 open max/min moving away from the extreme value I presume it's "at the line" but just checking.

At best, this is secondary to the search for the new H1 extreme open and eventual reversal for the day but does present another opportunity.

{quote} Just remember, as should everyone, that the markets will begin to get thin and weedy beginning in December going through the holidays and into the New Year. Unpredictability will become more common and the behaviour of the pairs will alter at the weirdest of times without warning.

This is very true . . . I suppose I was thinking about a semi-normal week at the beginning of December before holiday mania fully sets in.

Your caution is taken. Thanks Lem.

That may have held true if it wasn't for the fact that it's Thanksgiving tomorrow and a lot of those who break for that don't bother getting back to their desks after.

You've read more than I ever did then, lol. I don't remember anything ever about trading the Daily Open.

Buy Zone is Buy Zone and lives on its own.

I hope it lives some place warm. I can see snow out my window.

Still, point taken.

Joyous day tomorrow for all who are celebrating. It will be my first time with my adult children in many years. Cheers!

After reading other threads that contain analysis and prediction, I am even more confident to remain trading this way. The main reason is this method does not require analysis or prediction. There is nothing to explain after the fact. The entries are hard to beat. No interpretation is necessary. That is my conclusion. Thank you.

As important as this should be to traders, let us not forget that no squigglies were sacrificed in analysis.

Ah, it looks like they were looking at the issues around trading the Asian session and if it would be an option to use the Asian Open candle as the first Highest / Lowest Open of the working day.

Welcome to the thread and method and green pips going forward - just bear in mind trading conditions do start to unravel at this time of year.

Well, I could tell you if it's correct but instead, it would benefit yourself and no doubt other beginning traders here, if you were to run through and list here your decision making process. That is a much more useful and beneficial way of learning (for all).

After you have done that, you can genuinely tell us whether you were correct.
