do you think the europeans and the cable guys are going to leave rates the same or raise like the australians? thanks cesar in advance
Ignored
They don't have to actually raise the rates. Raise or no raise, if the markets assume it's time to raise, they will trade accordingly.

AN IRISH BLONDE IN A CASINO

An attractive blonde from Cork, Ireland arrived at a casino. She seemed a little intoxicated and bet twenty-thousand Euros on a single roll of the dice.

She said, 'I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm completely nude.

With that, she stripped from the neck down, rolled the dice and with an Irish brogue yelled, 'Come on, baby, Mama needs new clothes!'

Markets don't move based on facts. They move based on sentiment about what is going to happen in the future...

At the end of the hike cycle, it was usual to see cable and euro going down even with the central banks raising rates. That's because the market started to believe the hike cycle was over, down we would go.

If the sentiment now is that rates around the world have hit rock bottom, traders are going to trade based on the assumption that rates will go up.

Although he hasn't achieved much? Perhaps his efforts are seen as worthy and this will lend him more leverage. I hope so and it would only be cynical not to wish him the very best success.

There's always a buzzkill for a nice Friday

There is a real risk of a double-dip recession and the market is acting in a "schizophrenic" way, which could cause a "bloodbath" for investors, billionaire investor Carl Icahn told CNBC Friday.
