Yesterday the news that Australia raised rates hit the markets...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Australia was the first to slash rates in the beggining of the crisis, leading all other countries to do the same and triggering the selloff in the stock market...

They have gold, coal and uranium to name but a few in the ground in Australia and they're good at getting it out.

Unfortunately we in the UK have not much left in the ground and, like the USA our currency should be making baskets for therapy. Margaret Thatcher sold the family silver i.e. the utilities and made a bundle for the country, now spent. We had a good go, like the US, at making money out of thin air (ie derivatives from high pong loans) and that didn't last long. We now stare reality in the face.

Short sterling, dollar, ftse and dow. Long aud, far east, south america, bovespa and cesar's clothing company.
Gone to a better place

You know, luck can show up in some weird fashion...

2 weeks ago, a costumer complained about the fabric I use to make 100 pants for his store... Discussions and name calling come and go, I decided to replace the goods 100% hurting my profit badly...

So I decided to put the returned pants to sale in a website here, called Mercado Livre, that's our e-bay, actually.

And I whought WTH? let's sale other 4 products I have stucked here.

Already sold R$ 450 in a week, including 5 returned pants, pocketed R$ 75.00 net profit for me plus the company's...

That was one of the options I was looking at as well, but at the same time if you want some pull in the mountain bike world then they need to see your product in a bike shop. How are the manufacturing costs in Brazil?

I pay from R$ 3 to R$ 4 a piece. That's US$ 1,70 to US$ 2,20. That's service only.

I could make your products here in Brazil, if you have the models or at least picture of them and fabric specification I could look into it.

AU / AJ connection has broken
Equities rise WITH Gold
And the SNB has not intervened at the 1.50 Euro/CHF level (although some traders such as myself went long at that level expecting a play from the SNB)

What the fuck is going on here
Did someone say the calm before the storm?
I think the calm may be getting louder.
Or its just the typical irrationality of the markets

the u.s. does have lots of natural resources. 250+ years of coal, plenty of uranium, as well as 100 billion barrels of oil, maybe more. right now, the govt is more worried about turning the u.s. into a socialist nation and punishing people like BWR and ceasar, how dare you make money!!!!

the keystone cops are in control of the govt!!! we will be a third world country soon.

I have a buy order in place for EUR/CHF for 100 lots @ 1.5025. Going to gamble that the SNB will intervene and I will make out like a bandit for about 200 pips or so. It like's rolling the dice at a casino but I like the odds playing the forex game.
