Still have individuals going long, been long, blown their accounts and still long. Can't understand, or maybe they just like "long"?

We need Some of Cesar's and BWR's inspirational pictures.

Dow -210 and falling. On its way to lose the 13k big figure before anything important happens...

Talking about anything important, there is NFP on Friday. Speculation that the figure is BAD

Hello guys,

I have been here a lot ,Staying in the background.
Nice thread and have enjoyed the fun along the way...takes a lot of stress off trading.

Just a question for traders who have been around 4-5 years or even earlier...

What did fed do in previous occasions when there have been steep sell off in DOW to the tune of 250-300 points preceeding recession.

I heard somewhere that during such occasions,FED came out next day with more interest rate cuts immediately. So dont want to get caught with pants down when FED intervenes..though unlikely as i trade with stoplosses. Just want to hear from people who have been there previously.

Is it likely to happen now looking at how the economic data keeps getting worse and no good news !!!

Thanks,
Sri

Any more cuts and thats a signal that the economy is worse off than what they want us to believe,(resulting in a global panic driven sell off) They wont cut again unless the market hits rock bottom prices

Dow Jones is collective, there are many parts of the economy (read: technology sector) that flourished this year. Of course once you are hand picking stocks like a true fundamentalist then you pretty much abandon the charts. I'll stick to currencies thank you very much

Oil is so yesteryear, how about 5 dollars per liter of water? (almost there as I type)
this is just the beggining of the great water rush, we cant drink oil.
