if I was to trade gold I'd wait for a solid upside breakout then wait for a dip back to res/supp area and buy SL 5 TP 1270. {image}

gold moved exactly as projected previously.

Staying in for 1278 level. Do not expect it manage on this push. Has lifted off positions so are anyway risk free.

gold is about to enter a major bull market to last until end of 2016. Buying and holding late June into Jan 2017 makes very big sense now. keep stacking.

Jacky that depends how you structure it. You can structure this via an option strategy with limited risk right now.

If you want to structure via FX/futures positions, there is more risk, however I'd say 95% confidence level that fed won't raise rates therefore the event being bullish for gold.

Alternatively you can structure by stacking physical or via bullionvault and that way you don't have futures exposure risks, returns will be lower but almost guaranteed.

Finally you can structure via leveraged ETFs and by owning stocks of the gold mining companies.

Or you can mix 25% options 25% futures 25% physical and 25% stocks/ETFs that's if you are buying into gold strength mid-term.

in terms of buying spot I'd expect some retrace after the current move, wait for lower price. The proper entry in spot market was upon breakout as highlighted on the chart.

spot market entry strategy: wait for H4 close above 1275 and then you can go long. But that probably won't happen this week.

If you enter here you risk to get trapped. When/if we come down to support you will be in so much pain that you decide to take a big loss and then it turns again .
So be patient , wait for level where you can enter with small risk and big reward.

Will wait for H1 candle to close outside, depending on strength of candle will either enter straight away or wait for retest of TL.

Not seeing much dollar strength, looking quite fakey this move.

Edit: Followed through with some strength but looks like yen weakness rather than any dollar strength.

{quote} Looks like we get an close above the Resistance area for the USD index 4H candle and then we can expect it to go to an 38.2 retracement which is in the previous 94.3 area that is next strong resistance level for the USD Index . News ( Unemployment ) was around expectation so it didn't change anything. {image}

{quote} So bumpy. What a mess. Been lucky and even more up. Hedged one short with buy stop order triggered just before the spike that filled the gap and got out in nice profit. And managed to get an short in with sell stop limit at the top. Still target 1.4325. {image}

Taken off 2 positions now before weekend. Has actually done 624 pips for single positions in cable this week in closed trades and has 410 pips floating

This can go deep deep deep . If we see a Brexit I dont even can imagine. So try to stack positions and take out partly profit. It will be bumpy and I expect we can see higher high on daily with a good poll . So difficult to stack without being under water sometimes
