Yeah, no worries. Sorry for my semi-snotty remark. I was not in a good mood and especially that something I was 100% right about my post simply got deleted because I showed him in a backtest screenshot. I simply didn't have a live market condition to show him as the markets are closed. His EA is still going to produce the flaw I pointed out even in live condition.

As your you question, you best check with one of his buddies to see if you're on the A list. Heh!

Eh, there is a background to this story. He used to be on FF and then apparently nobody took him serious around here so he started his own forum. I checked out some of his posts on FF and even back then people commented about his attitude. Nothing's changed. I'll refrain myself from commenting any more negatively and focus at the level of his good coding skills, his focus and also quick turnaround when he does actually take in what someone tells him.

I am testing the fixed lots version and find it to be brilliant. The newer versions, I have not gone to these yet but I am finding no need as I believe that using fixed lots in this strategy is more important. I would avoid any of the versions that can't do this. Check also that if the lots traded are based on % risk only then you have no flexibility to just trade 0.01 lot once your account is of a certain size. This is what got me to stop using remon78eg part 1.

It's because he copies and pastes a lot or uses a template. All these options that you see in the EA are functions that were created across all his other EAs.

Some of them may be useful for traders who want to experiment such as Global Daily Profit. It caps the days profits and the EA will stop running until the next day candle appears. Other things will be useless as they don't really even apply to grid trading at all.

Someone on the SHF website has requested that all the extras get taken out for a new revision of his EA.

Now whether that post will be deleted and/or changes will be made, your guess is as good as your neighbors.

With all due respect. He is not the only guy who has made any sort of real attempt to code the given EA. Voldermart has done a superb job in coding part 1 and also made amendments and different versions along the way. He is actually ANOTHER who has made a real attempt to code part 2 of the strategy. ALSO, there is someone else who has made an attempt to code part 2 of the strategy.

Now I empathize with you to see that you have not paid attention to the whole thread but if you are looking for the shortcut to what I am saying, at least view the attachments of this thread and you will see that there are 2 posts with 2 EAs of part 2 (whether they have been successful or not)

And before you go kissing someone's rear and say that nobody has made any real attempt to code the EA. Just because Mr Remon has said that Steve has the strategy very closely coded to what the strategy is, doesn't even mean it is a good EA. It is currently full of garbage options that don't even apply to the strategy, some of them being useless in any grid trading situation AND I have pointed out that there is a major flaw in his EA and my post got deleted for WHATEVER REASON.

When the EA starts, it immediately opens a sell position and then pending trades for buys and sells. So far so good, BUT every time the PA crosses this initial sell position that opens on initialization in a positive direction, the trade closes and takes profit at 0.01, the EA re-initializes a few pips down, opens a new sell position and new pendings, rendering the whole bear market part of trading USELESS.

So please do not tell me that he is the only one who actually has been able to code the EA that we all wanted because he clearly hasn't. At least you could've tested the damn thing before assuming that he did a good job.

At least he won't be able to delete this post!

I am very excited, and do not know what to say,,, many do not know the difficulties ... step up because I do not speak for everyone.

I have dedicated my time to helping people in forex, the little I have learned since 2007 ... I do not mind helping, even without winning anything, because I know that the only way we can build a better world.

I had several problems in my family, I have had a reasonable account in forex and now I have nothing ... but all this will pass ... friend sajidkust you do not need to apologize for anything ... we will continue our walk and evolutionary helping people, whether in forex or any other activity in life.

Nope, the code for the 2nd part isn't much chop and it is worse than Steves. Call a spade a spade Daniel. Hats of to Voldermart who has put up with all the crap in this thread and coded you guys a few EA's for part 1. Lets remain focused on part 2 shall we since it was clear thats what i was talking about in my original post.

Never said it was a good EA, putting words in my mouth just to satisfy your own ego/rant. Quite sad really. Steve admits that it would be full of bugs etc etc.... you just have to read his first post. I even admitted it wasn't perfect but it is a start is it not? And there appears to be continued interest right?

You currently have a decent coder who runs a forum that has quite a lot of decent coders taking an interest in this concept. Within a short period of time he has bothered to given you an EA to play with and has already admitted within his first post that there will be issues. If he continues to take an interest, you will benefit. Do you understand what i am saying? You bad mouthing him here is not going to help is it? If you have a problem with him then man up and take it up with him offline, don't be gutless and bitch about him here.

You made 11 replies over 13 posts... are you aware its this garbage that ruins threads? I made more of a contribution to this thread in one post than you have in probably all your posts. Calm your farm. Im assuming your a young bloke so will give you the benefit of the doubt but just chill with Steve's forum and let it go. He doesn't like you - whatever. He deleted your post - whatever. Email him and have a whinge if that will help, or follow the advice that was given to you before regarding his forum.

On a brighter note, im not really into grid trading anymore due to its lack of edge HOWEVER can appreciate the thought and funky little money/risk management techniques that can transpire from the process. All the best Remon and to those who are actually putting value into the thread.
