IG,LCG,CMC offer DAX CFD 1pip spread with no commission which is better than future@EUREX raw feed, LCG even claiming STP access. Any experience? Is scalping(if you are winner) ok? CFD charge a fee overnight, not good for long term position.

Hi, I have been using Metatrader 4 with a broker called Silicon Markets but I am not sure whether this is a good spread deal or not and whether these guys are the best to be with, can anyone find out if they are any good? I mainly trade GBP/USD and USD/AUD but I am a complete newbie and need some advice. Thanks guys
Also, just noticed that CMC offers Futures as well as Cash for DAX. Only difference seems to be no overnight financing for futures and 1 point extra spread ( so 2 points on Futures vs 1 point on Cash product ).
DUKA also charge a commission on indices cfd, it cost much higher than LCG,CMC which dax 1pip and US30 1.4pip spread no commission.
Holding position(if you are a winner) at least 30mins instead of scalping maybe ok with marketmakers.
Interactivebroker offer DAX CFD which is same spread with future (avg.1.25pip), but charge 0.005% commission which is 8 times larger than future.
I am using LCG. Trade DAX exclusively with a semi automated EA. Some days i get slippage but overall its ok.

Dow Jones Industrial indice on LCG seem to be 1pip spread which is much better than future(avg.1.5pip+0.8pip round commission,using Interactivebroker )
Almost everyone offers DAX/Dow/FTSE etc at 1 point spread these days. Trade it with FXCM at 0.08 a tick, it's a great way to get some action/training without risking much.
For Dax, most things actually (apart from cash FX which they used to offer) ProSpreads offers a pretty unbeatable deal in my opinion if you're in the UK and like things tax-free. Spread betting with direct market access and generally good order entry software including ladders. They make their cut by adding a comm to the trade.
Of course tax-free is only an advantage if you make more money than 10k a year (tax boundary) and if you lose then it's a big disadvantage especially if you lose big. .

ProSpreads is regulated by the Gibraltar. www.prospreads.com/full_size_lots.php show DAX spread=0.28pip round commission+ raw spread@EUREX, much larger than IB.
Yep, but the 0.28 tick is what you pay for direct market access. Whereas with all the others you're against the market makers price and many of them will widen if the underlying Dax spread goes out. Right now for example, FXCMs spread has been between 1-2 ticks.
