Could you check how different position sizing would change the results? I mean atm I have 0.5% per order, maybe it's much better to have the first one with TP with 0.75% and the trailing one with 0.25%?

I will.

What about the limit order ? will it be also at @ 0.75% or we leave it at 0.5%.

{quote} The EA will by default tail by the high/low of the last 2 candles. If the distance (trailing stop) is less than "Min Trailing Stop" it will use "Min Trailing Stop" instead.

Another question about this one for clarification. What is the distance (trailing stop)? The distance to the current price or the distance to the current low (in terms of a short position)?

Edit: Nevermind, the latter I guess. Does make sense.

Isn't the risk for the limit order set to 0.25% right now?

Khalil, I believe the trailing stops in backtesting gives artificially good results, when compared to live testing. For backtesting it is much better to use structural trailing stops, like lowest of last X candles, or fractals etc. That gives much more realistic results.
Just my 2 cents...

I made it completely flexible, where you can set risk% for each of the 3 orders.

This is a test on EUR/USD comparable to the 3rd test on post # 75

Kindly use this version for testing as previous one had few bugs in stop trailing (when stop was very close to bid/ask price).

Yes.

Actually the Limit order shares Lot Size, SL price, TP price with the 1st Order. However since it's open price is 50% better than the 1st order, the reward to risk ratio for it is double than the 1st order.

Both options are available now, however using last candles trailing is fixed to the last 2 candles high/low.

In next version I'll make an input where user can input x number of candles to trail the stop.

Hi,

Thanks for this method. This morning I got some whipsaw but I was setting trades manually in a haste before rushing to work so my fault

Abokwaik, can you add an option to set the lot size manually, please? What happens if my account can't sustain a 0.5% trade? Will the EA open a trade using the minimum lot size my broker demands (my broker changed it recently, that's why I'm not sure about the actual percent calculation anymore)?

Thanks.

You can control the lot size using the risk %. 0.5% is already small = 0.005 of account balance, but if you like you can even use a smaller % (e.g. 0.1%).

AND Yes, if the calculated lot size is less than minimum lot allowed by the broker, the EA will use the minimum lot instead.
Same goes for Max Lot.

Hi Abotwaik,

What about to add a field for pips above/below entry/exit? Something like M0ndm4nn18 is writing.
With this field we can deal with spreads, etc.

Regards

Already handled by the EA.

Buy Stop Order @ candle high + 2*spread.
Sell Stop Order @ candle low - 1*spread.

In addition of course to your control over the trigger candle by the phantom candle.

P.S: I have no idea on what's M0ndm4nn18 is writing.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Running the risk of sounding like I'm just blowing smoke (frivolous compliments) what's going on underneath the hood (of your EA) is absolutely brilliant. This not only performs all functions specific to Xaron's guidance, but makes operation of the EA dead simple. Kudos to you both.

+2*spread and
- 1*spread

i think, many brokers have less than 1 pip, it won't work though most of the times, the distance should be higher in my opinion and like the backtest showed.
