Attached please find the first version of a script that automatically captures screenshots when you open and close a trade. It saves the screenshots under

MQL4\Files\MT7_AutoScreenShot\<year>\<month>\<day>\<ticket_number>_[open|close].png.

This way you will have a visual history of your trades, and if it is possible for you, share some of them with us

Hi Matt, Wow that was so quick! I wasn't expecting anything too soon, I know you are busy with your own trading and other projects. Many thanks for this, I will give it a go tomorrow although I may not be around too much, at least on Monday when I am back full time. Really appreciate your help with this and this fantastic Renko EA you have created which has helped me transform my trading. As you know I have been using the EA for some time, but I have been refining my technique to achieve better consistency and finally i think I have it - a Eureka moment!

Hi Matt,

Finally got back to trading and testing the script on my demo account. Its working fine, see screenshot. One thing I noticed is that this open screenshot doesn't show the SL line, this is because the EA I use on the offline charts to set SL, TP TS can take a few seconds to form these levels on screen. Its not a particular problem.

I will add an input setting for delay seconds before taking a screenshot. That should solve the problem.

Hi Matt, wondering why you use 'a never ending' script instead of an indicator for that? Are there any benefits using a script here?

Hi Jagg,

It is possible to write it as an indicator, however, I preferred to program it as a script since the functionality of the auto screenshot has nothing to do with the definitions of indicators.

I am attaching Version 1.02 of AutoScreenShot script. In this version there is an input in the settings named "Delay (seconds)" with default value 1 that applies a delay before taking a screenshot. Please test this version to see how it works (you can increase the delay seconds to larger values like 3 and test it).
