Hello Fellow traders,
I have been working on a trading strategy for past 1 year, that encompasses market timings as a prime principle at it's heart.
The Strategy is very sensitive to market time.
Market timing in essence,is just the time in various financial centers relative to each other, for how long are they open and exact time when they close.
I don't trust the forexfactory liquidity tool on the homepage,so,anyone smart enough to offer that suggestion and call me ignorant can stay away from this thread(no offence when i say that).
Suggestions of google search is also going to incur my wrath haha,i have very good reasons to ask you this here and not go for google search(which i have done).
So Regarding that i need your help.
I am going to need help from traders around the world.
I need specifically trader living in the US,Australia,Newzealand,Singapore,Hong kong and china,Japan,England,Germany and France,Canada.
I am going to need the traders from these countries to tell me their exact office timings and lunch time,if you are or were previously a bank employee your response is much awaited,
Inshort just tell me where you live(country) and when do you go to the office, when do you have lunch, and when do you get back from lunch and go back home.

Next thing i am going to need is .
When day light savings takes effect ,the countries experiencing daylight savings time change, which shift their clocks ahead or behind.does your relative time to gmt change.
For example Australia is having dst change,so what happens then.
When you wake up and go to work your clocks read the same or you go to office 1 hour or so early.

If your clock reads the same,(i am requesting much from you in that case, can you, please tell me your, time relative to other centers not experiencing change).
For example when i do a google search for time sydney ,it was relative to my location X hours ahead, but i see and know it has changed ,it used to be y a couple of months ago.
I am at GMT +1 for me time of sydney has shifted ,for guys living in sydney clocks may read same australian national time ,but for me market open time and close has changed.Do you get my point.???
Tell me your DST effect relative to greenwich before and after dst is done and reversed.

You needn't hesitate in answering this question i am not asking your names and adresses neither you should disclose them, its pure trading based question.
The reason for this thread is simple,as suggested in opening post, Let's wait for responses.

Hi Doom,

I'm from Singapore (GMT+8)

i think banks start trading from 7am local time (thats when Japan begins her trading - shes 1 hr ahead so makes 8am for Japan).

Lunch time for Japan is probably 1 hr earlier compared to Singapore, so liquidity probably dies down for the asian session from 11am - 2pm Singapore time..

Finally, we knock off anywhere between 4-6pm?

Personally, you're better off capitalising on the market flows during opening hours of the respective sessions (asian/european/american).
