Here's a technical perspective on USDJPY.The 104.540 area is a significant horizontal support zone on the USDJPY market. The technical pattern on the monthly time frame, with squeezing of price action along a falling triangle (red), points to an attempt by bears to target the zone. Apparently, a bearish environment is at play on the monthly time frame. On the daily time frame, market operation has significantly broken down a rising wedge (blue) and we can expect bears to influence a southward continuation.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

USDJPY ought to continue buying until 108.838 resistance level.

From that point I recommend a sell back to 107.90 region.

Hi, trying (foolish) to ”basket” trade gbpusd together with gbpjpy.

However that was little foolish as i first now realise how strong the gbpjpy pair can be to usd/jpy and that i had not done my work ahead before i started.

i am trying to understand the driving behind usd/jpy, as i dont always se a clear correlation? Any tips of some reading into the subject?

so .. buy g/j and sell g/u ?? then you are just long u/j - all 'carries' become a synthetic so then you just manage exposure and pay the spread twice
