The reason you are not getting trades is because the look back bars on both the Stoc and BB are set at 1. You need to take one of them out to 5, because you are expecting simultaneous crosses.

Also I definitely would not recommend 1 min. charts, minimum of 60 min.

I'm new at this, if you don't mind I just want to make sure of something,
let's say I use MACD strategy and on my optimization result show MACD value 8,17,9 is the best based on backtest instead of standard MACD value 12,26,9.
(and let's assume i'm gonna use this strategy)

So.. I don't need to open MACD at all?Just blank chart on TF/pair that same as i tested on optimization tester and activate the EA?

Because I did opened the MACD and input the same exact setting 8,17,9 as shown at optimization result... and I see the EA triggered a trade. so I thought I was right.. haha sorry i'm noob on this EA thing.. just want to make sure..

And If I may give a suggestion..about candlestick, what if there's an option to choose only specific candle pattern that we want?
Maybe just a simple checkbox. like check engulfing,pinbar, and uncheck harami,kicker,etc. so in this setting the candlestick strategy/filter will only use pinbar and engulfing(only the checked one).
Because I tested on strategy optimizer too many candlestick combination pattern like that isn't so effective IMO. maybe we can improve it if we can choose some strong candlestick reversal pattern only like engulfing,etc.

There are a number of issues that you have raised.

When you add an EA to a chart, it can be a blank chart. You don't need any indicators on the chart. The inputs for the EA can be manual when you load the EA onto the chart or you load them from a set file. I'm thinking that you need to do some more homework before you run the EA as I don't think you fully understand the concepts yet.

Also it would be a good idea if you read the help file 3 or 4 times and also visited all the links on Post #1.

Regarding the concept of the candlestick settings, once again a good read of the help file would have really helped because the function of the candlestick recognition is not to make trades on them exclusively, but to act a filter which gives confirmation to the strategies chosen. I don't think you understand the difference. As an example, just say there is an RSI move downwards through the top level which is suggesting a sell trade. If we set the Candlestick MaxBarsAgo setting to 5, that trade will take place if there is a bearish candlestick formation within the last 5 bars.

Please fully understand the difference between a strategy and a filter.

thanks for your reply, and pardon me for my ignorance.
I read of the help file once, and too to exited to try the EA right away after doing some optimization tester.

I'll do my homework again and again.
And I hope I can keep up with you guys and contribute more here soon.

Meanwhile I'll report back If I found another error/bugs.

Just added another 3 Trade Explorers to my profile page, started this week

All trading on 7 Majors and 7 Crosses (14 EA's each)

CCI with Volume filter
Divergence with CS filter
MACD with Divergence filter

Before you start asking for the set files, the last 3 months data is at Post #1 for all the pairs, you have the strategies and filters above, all on 60 min timeframe. I would suggest you wait 24 hours or so and the data for April will be at Post #1.

Please do your own optimizations as these are examples only.

it's a cast not valid, it probably depend of language settings...

What I did:
Open StrategyOptimizer
Load EURUSD_M1_2015.csv file
Load TG_EURUSD_60_150119_150417_MACD_CS_.set file
Start Optimization
at this point I got the error

This is a screen shot of when I carried out the same action with the same data and set files without any problems. Can you post a screen image and confirm your version is 1.41

Edit: OK I can see your screen image now that you have posted it but can you tell me in English what it said.

Could you open your csv file with a text editor and examine the contents. In the absence of any other reports and not being able to reproduce the error it sounds as though your data file is corrupted.
I fixed the issue creating a new admin windows account, and after setting localization settings to english. now works!

anyway I got very different results than yours. I used TG_EURUSD_60_150119_150417_MACD_CS_.set file, attached as well (I just changed extention due to forum restriction).

I confuse with some line at tradelist in strategy optimizer (14.1).
here's some example (the blue lighted one)

it entered a SELL trade at 1.14255 with 79 SL (1.14334), and 173 TP (1.14082)
but at the closing position it said SL 1.14176, Pip 0, Result 0, Balance (the same)

I think 1.14176 is from SELL entry 1.14255 - 79pips. -> it could be right if it "BUY" entry at 1.14255 hit 79 pips SL at 1.14176
or it could be otherwise, mixed up SL/TP/BUY/SELL

That looks OK to me, 7.9 pips (not 79) profit - spread on trailing stop loss with wager of only .01

on the ea, i am trying to 'force' it to trade 0.1 lots everytime

i set lotsize to 0.1
max risk % to 0

but the ea keeps choosing a random lot size

am i doing something wring or is it another setting
