savant,

Just to share with you another part of story about Jesse Livermore. From what i read (and now experiencing), a key factor for Jesse Livermore is his timing approach, to be correct in the trade right from the beginning. we should have waited patiently until all the factors were in place before pulling the trading trigger...so that the stock/whatever should move in the direction of our trade almost simultaneously with entering the trade . . . that is act correctly and patient.

my hero Jesse Livermore once said:

Don’t try and anticipate what the market will do next—simply
go with the evidence of what the market is telling you—presenting
to you.

and

Markets are never wrong—opinions often are. Timing in the stock market is the key to success. A trader may deduce that a stock is going to go up or down in a big way and eventually he may be correct. In fact, if you have any experience in the market this will ring true. I knew that stock was going to go up ten points—I was just too darn early on the trade. I lost my money but I was ultimately right on the stock. I just moved too soon, the market went against me and I sold out my position for a loss. I even made a second attempt to buy it and it dropped three points, I got nervous,
so I sold it.

regards.

good choice. in term of bigger picture, gbpjpy doesnt move much actually. still stuck in the 25 Jan & 28 Jan high and low range. gbpjpy when range around few hundred pips sometimes can be considered as pot of gold . but being nimble is the key!

based on calculation on the previous day average range, for me, hehe my perception of cheap price to buy and expensive price to sell.. the best buy may come at area somewhere around 209.4 and the sell may be around 211.8. depending to what will happen later of the day. this is G33maroon's personal view on the market not a commentary or advise.

Thanks Maroon I have been trying to master this discipline for ages... still having problem with it since I can't strain myself from impromptu ANTICIPATION. That's the way to trade safely:

Simply go with the evidence and market presentation. Right now... I just watch this boring performance of GU and EU. Clueless Just got to wait for the market to present the clue then. Patience.....
