Why can't I copy my indicators to MT4?

Hi all!I have a problem about my MT4!I want to copy my indicators to MT4!First I open folder MQL4-Indicators in C-Program files,the I choose indicators has file .mql4 to copy to folder''Indicators''.Then I restart my MT4,but nothing happen!I can't see my indicator that I copied before!Can anyone help me about this problem?Thanks!
In the new builds (600+), the folders for indicators and experts were moved in another location in your computer. To find the folders, open your new platform, then click File > Open Data Folder > MQ4 ... then in the MQ4 folder you will find the experts and indicators folders. Once your tools in the right folders, restart the platform.

Please note that ONLY old .ex4 files are compatible with new builds. Old .mq4 files are no longer compatible because Metaquotes has changed the coding language.

What if there isn't any old .ex4?

I saved the metaeditor.exe from the old MT4 before letting it loose and upgrading to the 600+ build. I hoped that I'll be able to compile the old stuff with it. Now it does load the code and compiles it but I have no idea where the compiled EX4s end up. Any idea?

hm, maybe at least one of the following may help you?
1.) compiled .ex4 file: same directory where the .mq4 is located
2.) in case of errors (for example missing libraries): try this compiler/editor: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=470340

I need to copy an indicator from my MT4 build 646 platform. It shows up on the platform in the Navigator window but when I open the MQL Indicators it does not show up. I can't get it from the Properties/Open File Location off the desktop icon either. Can anyone please tell me where this file is hiding so I can send it to a friend??

Available in the navigator window doesn't mean that the editable file is in the folder. The platform show only the .ex4 files. It has no use of the .mq4
