hello friends.
ok NZD intrest rate is cut to 2.75% in 28 hours from now.
nzdusd will go up sharply or down ??
this pair GN is gonna move 800 pips tomorrow minimum
Anyone willing to hazard a guess or comment on whether this is going to be a floor for a while with this pair please do. No luck finding information on line looking around at the usual sites so far, like fxstreet.com, where the 'related articles' on the pair are all old. No one wants to say anything. Will continue to search and post if I find anything useful.

I did look at the longer term charts; and I do remember what it was like months ago when the pair was rising from much lower. ...

Here is my chart. The pair bounced from support. Now lets see if it holds the level or not. Break below that level will open doors for 2.11-2.10. At the moment it is better to stay away.

290+ pips until the breakout but the silly trail stop fucked the whole game (was away from system)

EDIT : now waiting for a cool pullback and will take another long for 600+ pips

Running smoothly 280+ pips caught which is 50% of 600 measured target.

I actually think that the trend is up. From a fundamental perspective GBP is the second strongest currency, even though their hike expectations have been pushed back. NZD will most likely will have to cut rates again because of falling milk prices. There's a central bank monetary policy divergence. It's just a correction before another leg up. I might be wrong. Time will show.
Armis - I agree with your gbpnzd analysis - but trade with the shorter term momentum as the same fundermentals were mainly in place at the end of September, but this pair still retraced over 2200 pips - I suggest the rbnz poss rate cut is mainly priced into the market , what the fed does on December 16 - will probably have a greater impact on commodity prices including the kiwi - good luck

It's a long term LONG from here for this pair, after completing a 6 months correction [4] terminating at a Fib retracement level & resuming uptrend on [5].

I don't think I'd trust Fib's any more skyhok, they could blow up your account real fast.
I do see gbp/nzd coming back up to 2.2000 as a target point in the near future.
can't go long GBPNZD, since NU found strong support on W1 charts. Quite possible that NU is targeting 7600 (+1200 points) mid-term (2-4 months).
I'd stay away from GBPNZD, since both GU/NU could rally at the same time, meaning GBPNZD range bound trading.

Hi asgcorp, I think you are replying to me from my comment to skyhok, because he might have long positions on gbp/nzd around 2.18088, just trying to give him a little hope.
But yes asgcorp I see gbp/nzd trading in a range of 125 pip's up or down. If it goes down 125 pip's then I see it coming back up 250 pip's for short term.
who have an idea about the trend of this pair please?
