Anybody heard of atom8, or using this broker?
New broker from 2013, also seen a article about atom8 linking up with Dukascopy.

Seems like a very new broker that just started last month in December. White labeled JForex and other services from Dukascopy. FCA regulation and ECN technology is interesting. Accounts from 350UK pounds. I think, we will have to wait and see how it goes with its business. Hopefully, someone can share the experience or even a rep from Atom8 will be welcome to answer queries from potential clients on Forexfactory.

On the website they quote commission as "from 1 GBP per 100K" - so like $16 per million. I assume that is only for larger deposit/volume accounts? They should clarify this on the website.

Hi Umaf
I am a representative of Atom8 and am happy to answer your questions.

You are right, we are a new London ECN FX Broker, authorised by the FCA and have been operating since August 2013.

Atom8 offers direct market access (DMA) for retail and institutional FX traders (FX, CFD and spread betting accounts) on the amazing Atom8 Trader Pro platform. Trade FX, Gold and Silver via web, desktop, mobile and Mac. Check out our OCO orders, trade without spread “orders”, slippage control, market depth window and chart trading, for a start!

Just launched MT4 on Dukascopy liquidity as an FX or spread betting account. So new, it is not even on the website yet, but email us at [email protected] for account set up.

We are a new broker, hence very flexible with our trading conditions for traders. Cross-platform, we offer two type of ECN accounts:
1.Commission Account – Average commission is £2.80 per side/ per lot; and
2.Commission free ECN Accounts – here, the spread is widened (competitively!) but you still access the same ECN liquidity and all its advantages without any commission to pay.

Our ECN liquidity pool provides arguably the largest in the FX Market place today, with 200 million notional available within a 2 pip range on the EURUSD, for example. Our trading tools, entry orders functionality and transparency assist the trader in every way possible.

Hi,

I have a couple of questions:

What is the leverage on the Spread betting account on MT4 platform?

Also is hedging allowed? If so, what margin do you have on hedging?

What is the minimum account size?

Regards

Neio

We raised our minimum deposit to £5,000 as the new EMIR transaction reporting obligations impose new costs on European brokers which makes micro lot trading less viable where you are a true A book broker, like we are. A Book STP brokers only make money on commissions. We therefore raised this minimum deposit. However, if you trade 0.3 lots and above, we would happily discuss your requirements with a lower deposit.

Neio - Standard leverage on all accounts and platforms is 100:1 and we can go up to 300:1. Hedging is allowed on the platform. Please note if you are holding off-setting positions, then your margin will be 0.

Please don't hesitate to ask me anymore questions or alternatively to [email protected]

Thanks for your question. It is a volume based fee that companies like Unavista charge to all EU brokers for each transactions (open & close).

I have been using them since May of last year. Very good execution and spreads. Would recommend over Dukascopy and London Capital Group.

They have very good spreads and commissions. Same as Dukascopy basically. But also, they run a hedge fund. If you establish a track with them there is potential to manage money. A good amount too.

nasdaq100 futures or cfd`s?

for a e-mini contract = $20 per point -- how much is the margin/any swap long/short?

or if cfd: what is the leverage, daily swap long/short for a $20 per point trade?

thank you

There is no daily swap credit/debit like in FX for futures. The swap is built into the futures price - the price of the future is a little higher than the spot index, and this price difference will continously go lower as the futures contract nears expiration. On expiration date the futures price and index price will be the same.
