Hello. I am looking for a type of broker, not any type, but a broker that offers ECN, has acceptable spreads on many currency pairs ( more than 10-20 pairs) and low execution costs/comissions. It would be better if they offer micro accounts, and would be best if the minimal lot size is below 0.1 - say 0.01 with 0.01 increments. Now , i know that i could use google or the forum search engine to find about different brokers, and i have been doing that research for the past few days , but am quite confused. Nowadays there are literally thousands of brokers, some well know, some not so good, but my requirements didn't bring me to much choices - i found instaforex, fx open or even hotforex. But all of these are at the very least suspicious... From these 3, i have experience only with fxopen, on a demo account, which is of corse different from real.. I am pretty happy with the demo trading, but lately ive been reading many complaints about the withdrawal of money, they took the profits of many traders and some of them couldn't even manage to withdraw the initial deposits..... So I am afraid to put real money with them.. I know that there is always risk with brokers and trading in general ! But i want to minimize it by seeking an advice from expereinced people.
So to make it shorter and more clear , what i am looking for is an ecn/stp broker, that offers:
1) at least 20 currency pairs, all with acceptable spread ( i find less than 3pips to be acceptable on all pairs), if they have minimal spread + some comission for the traded volume, it is ok for me.i am willing to pay larger comission if the spreads are very small.
2)possibility for micro account or at least standart account with 0.01 starting lot size
3)low initial deposit - say 1000-2000usd or less... many brokers offer excellent conditions if you have half a million to trade with, but that is not my case unfortunately.......
4)metatrader4 terminal

and of course i am looking for broker with normal/good reputation and easy withdrawal/deposit system

Thank you in advance and sorry if id wasn't able to make it clear enough from the very beginning!

I'd stay away from insta (personal opinion) there are lots of gray areas surrounding them, though i have not tried fxopen, but i can vouch for hotforex, been trading with them for over 2 years now, good premium accounts, low spreads on majors though it tend to widen at times, withdrawal are ok, it takes 1-2 days for it to be processed, i think the ECN platform at hotforex is different im not so sure though, anyway dont just take my word for it, its good to look at review sites as well, all brokers have issues but what you should be looking for is what brokers do about it, and dont jump with 1000 dollars into a new broker, go with minimum just to test the waters and see how live trading goes. i think minimum deposits for europe traders is 50 and 5 dollars for non europe. and best of luck.

Yes, Insta is not a good broker to try. They suddenly can leave you with your withdrawal request. Just try other brokers as Hotforex, Armada, fxpro...
