Its hard to say. All the bucket-shops say the are "True ECN-STP". As if they were in fashion. Or No Dealing Desk Execution. FXCM was even fined for that, I believe.

Anyway, look for yourself, and just beware of scams. Identifying a scam? Just ask on the support who are their Prime Brokers, Aggregator, which Trade Matching company they use, and, who their liquidity providers are. Shall they struggle with any of the answers, ring the bell
FXPro are good (at least to me). Never had any problems with them, low spreads and commission charges clearly shown on every single trade.
Globalprime claims that they can give you, if you ask them, the direct receipt issued by the liquidity provider that matched your order. That would pretty much prove that your trade was not handled by any desk at your brokerage firm. They are also used by rapa, an organisation that gives unknown but skilled trader non-negligeable sums of money to managed, so it would seem that they are trusthwothy. I don't use them so I have no idea of how their client service is towards smaller accounts owners or how easy it is to fund/withdraw your money with them (their accounts are seggregated so, in theory, it should not be a problem)

What you said about FXCM is not correct. On our No Dealing Desk (NDD) forex execution model, FXCM acts as a price aggregator. We take the best bid and ask prices from our liquidity providers, add a fixed pip mark-up, and stream those prices to the platforms we provide. The NFA action you mentioned concerned positive slippage not being passed on in full during the offsetting transaction with our liquidity providers. FXCM enhanced the execution system in 2010 so that clients now benefit from price improvements in both steps of a transaction for all order types. 1lot eurusd commission is 16.xx ~ 17.xx us$.
most ecn brokers below 13.5 us$.
fxpro is too expensive.
and it is often freezing.

My choice after a year of searching for the best/Honest ECN brokers are:


Dukascopy Europe for the Jforex plate form (Commision a bit higher but you can have a rebate of 45% through a few brokers)

Global Prime for MT4 ECN plate form. ( Abosultely unmatched quality and service)


I would suggest the same to all interested traders.
Traders gain some knowledge, win, their emotions kick in, and they die.
