Edit. Target hit at the time of this typing.

Wave 5 is at 162. If it comes yay if not boohooo. Then rinse and repeat. Cool?

Thing is could go down more and passed 162 and it could be another wave 3. But we won't know until it happens.

After it hits wave 5. It could be a turning point to the upside. But we won't know that gotta wait what the market does. We pounce when the market tells us what to do. We don't know shit we just go with the flow.

M5 structure is still intact.

If you used the classic babon slope entry would have been up +8 pips already towards this wave 5.

Perfect setup..! I could not trade today, it's not my real job... How come you only took 18 pips?

Do your trade full time, and on average, how many pips do you get a day?

Im part timer , I did not trade today. Yes , that was a nice drop , head and shoulder , trendline , etc all is there. GJ is hard to trade , you can get stopped out in minutes if not seconds. Scrollll back , notice how many times GJ went through resistance , support , broke every technical stuff what traders usually watch.
Absolutely unpredictable , sometimes its very nice , going by the ' rules ' others time doing exactly the opposite... gives you your head...

yeah that's why i only traded .50 instead of 1 lot on GJ. That trade I did would stop and reverse me if it swings up to the upside. I know how to manage my risk. There was a increasing volume at the move up with no follow through. Also, UJ got screwed after the PMI news GJ just followed it. It's a high probability trade.

Yes I trade full time. I'm in front of my computer 11pm PST to 8am PST with some breaks in between. lol I live in the Philippines though so It's already decent money if I make $100 in a day. Average income here in the Philippines is $200 a month so hah hah I make more money than the average earners here.

I only took 18 pips because I did not know the 5th wave is going to be that deep. It's rare what happened last night.

How many pips per day? It varies sometimes the market is asleep and I don't even trade. Sometimes the range is so little it's not even worth trading. But when I trade I make an average of $200 - $400 a day.

I also trade higher time frames but they take longer to setup.

Well I'm glad to see you're still alive and trading I'm new to forex and I'm really interested in how you do in a couple more days. Keep us posted. Although I must admit I don't think I will ever have the guts of having a win rate probability of 99% but with a 1 looser will just take them all. But I'll keep a watch at this thread. It's very interesting. So next you should show us your live account I want to see how it really do.

Hi maflip, I was reading this thread from the beginning and saw your post from 2013 when you "were new to forex" :-) Four years later you trade for a living, congratulations! Most of us never reach that point..!

I do have a question, can you give your opinion on my attached failed trade? I saw a rising trend, babon slope was up, price bounced of the bottom the TMA1, TMA5 was not pointing down at that time (repainted). It was profitable for a little while but then went the other way. I decided to close manually because the trend was clearly broken. How would you have analysed this view?

Is this the one after GBP News? It's at 62% pattern completion of the double bottom. The move is weak if it stops there. The entry should be after the retracement after price pierced the resistance.

I took a similar trade after that news. But on GU. netted 17.9 pips. Noticed where I took profit. And noticed where it started to turn back down?

Might explain why the bounce see M5. Wave 5 created a double bottom. Sometimes the 5th wave makes a lower low. But this time it's a double bottom.

Yes, it was around that time. Thanks for the explanation, I am still learning how to read charts, this really helps.

As you said, should have entered about 30 minutes earlier, when it broke through the 62% level. Instead, I entered after it came back down from 100% and bounced of the 62.

Had the trend continued up, I should have entered again when it broke 100, right? As that level acted as resistance in the previous high?
