It always uses the one named default. If you want all charts to open a certain way you can save the chart you like to a template naming or over writing the one named default. You can set the default template however you want.

after you construct your chart with indicators, colors, background, etc. right click -> Template -> Save

then you can select your saved Template for each new chart by right click -> Template -> Template name

I don't think you can do what I think you want to do, which is, every time you open a new chart, it should already be loaded with your "system"

I believe that you have to apply a template to each chart you open, but that is easy, only takes a second.

When you have all the charts in a group that you like, then you can save as a PROFILE, switching between profiles is easy also.

After that, when you have too many systems and charts going on, you can open multiple MT4 program at the same time, I usually have 2 !!!

Hi!
For my convenience, I have kept several of the charts opened in 2 templates. EUR-USD is one such pair - let me call them EUR-USD template1 & EUR-USD template2. Whenever I start a new MT4 session, EUR-USD template2 appears in the forefront, leaving all other charts (including EUR-USD template1) in the background. (Any other chart that I last saw in my last MT4 session also remains in the background now.)

Possible to pop up EUR-USD template1 in the forefront as a default - whenever I start a new MT4 session?

Pls forgive me if it is too elementary.
