CROSSES

The major crosses talked about in trading are MA crosses, price crossing MA's (and closing above or below) and Oscillator crosses.

My sweet spots are where price crosses the 1/3MA and where price bounces off the 1/3MA in my Time frame of choice.

Take a look at recent examples (no cherry picking).

TOO MUCH FUN

I've been having too much fun writing all thee that I did not concentrate to take my set-ups but the beauty of the markets is there will always be more opportunities to buy or sell or sell and buy.

The resistance and range would have made me hesitant but that final bounce off LT S&R would have been a definite short signal then th bounce off the 3Day MA a re-entry or add-on position.

SO FAR SO GOOD

We have covered the possible bounces and then we have talked about crosses and at this point we can call it an open and closed thread if we just summarize all but the crosses continue.

Note that with all we've talked about and some diligent back-testing you can confidently trade on your own just respecting the trend and LT S&R or using the contractions of the BB as a Counter-Trend signals.

CROSSES CONTINUE

For filters I prefer OSCILLATORS and my choice is DeMARKER and STOCHASTIC oscillators

I must confess at this point that I've been unable to curve-fit these oscillators I was able to with the help of a friend curve-fit the RSI but I delight in using those two indies for one reason THEY CAPTURE DIVERGENCE!

The DeMarker is supplied with the MT4 platform as basic Indicators and there are several materials on it's use but I use it primarily to detect Divergence. and that of course has so much written on it. (just google them both)

I also use the STOCHASTIC SLOPE (found on FF forum) I think it's the bomb!

It is customize able and also capture Divergence.

Combining both does not amount to using redundant indicators as the Stochs is used to take entries in O/B & O/S, then the DeM is set at close but the Stochs can be set at High/Low or Close/Close.

My setting of choice is

DeM -Default 14 period, O/B 0.75 O/S 0.25 with additional level of 0.50

Stoch slope 5, 3, 3 periods, O/B 75 O/S 25 with additional level of 50

Some materials on Divergence are attached.

FILTERS FILTERS

Generally the stochs is applied in entering trades in buying when the indicator leaves O/S and selling when the indicator leaves O/B but my approach is trading the CROSSES of the K and D lines in O/B or O/S in the direction of the Trend for better results.

Occasionally the DeM crossing O/B or O/S can coincide with the Stoch cross in O/B or O/S giving that confluence of criteria, for greater assurance .

While we use filters tor determine the greater probability of success of our intended trade, we should not forget our sweet spots

See some crosses.

QUESTIONS

I will not be answering any questions on success rate or how much money I've made with this system /approach.

My motivation in sharing this work is to let others benefit, if only 1 person downloads the indicators and templates, bends down and does the work of back-testing and gains the confidence to forward test and trade this, then I'd be very satisfied.

I'd be posting more and certainly screenshots of FUTURE LIVE TRADES God willing.

SAFE TRADING

Hello once again, long short break there.

Feeling frustrated with my results today ( I had to concentrate some bit on my day job) the unfavorable entries and the missed opportunities, I decided to look again at some other pairs and see what I was missing.and I discovered that some times some low volume pairs would be trending and begging for entries from traders, so it just calls for an expansion of the watch list to include some more pairs, wait for an alignment of the MA's and milk the market until the trend changes.

Here's an example Boy have i been leaving money on the table for some others to pick.

TODAY'S RESULTS

Today was a mixed bag of results. The analysis is that my SL were inelastic enough for the market today and I have to keep viewing my charts every 30 minutes to spot valid set ups brewing else I'd always be singing "missed opportunities".

EURJPY 2 TRADES -VE PIPS
EURUSD 1 TRADE +VE (MINUTE) PIPS
GBPUSD 1 TRADE -VE PIPS

Many opportunities there after on EURJPY, EURUSD & GBPUSD

I'm adding AUDUSD & USDCHF to the mix (for those safe trading opportunities)
EURJPY trades were on M15 but the screenshot is from M5 for more detail analysis.

WHY THE DIFFERENT TIME FRAMES?

I just wanted to show how all the curve fitted MA's are in concert with themselves.

Then I wanted to show Divergence at work.

Personally I'm torn between the M15 or M30 so I can reduce my screen stare and glare time.
