Hello and big Thank you Mr. Pip for giving out so much value for free. You are an awesome teacher, very gifted because you can explain complex things in a very calm, simple and broken down manner. The video is very good and understandable and I like your editing style. So once again thank you for all you have done and the time (and money) that you are investing in us. Here is my home work. {image} {image}

Thank you for your kind words, your work looks good to me. Keep it up. I will become more critical in the days to come. I want you all to have a foundation. I like what I see a lot. How does this feel?

Gosh, all this while I thought labeling these NSH, NSL was "orderflow", lucky you restarted your teaching all over again. Thanks Damian. Here is my homework. Question regarding the DOW, for day trading, you don't use 15min candles for structure analysis right? May need to use 5mins or even 1 min? {image} {image}

I only use the 233T and nothing else, in time you will see what works best fotr your style and comfort level. your second chart need work you were way to broad and misses some expectations. Do it again.

{quote} Your first chart is much better. On the second chart you disregarded important swing. Sometimes it gets a bit trick bu sooner or later price always tells you where it want to go. Label it as you see it then take a step back and ask yourself what does this mean to my current expectation? Has something changed? Your answer should be clear and so should your course of action. We will get to that soon. Just keep labeling.

Okay Traders,

How has this lesson opened your eyes? Has this simple lesson changed the theory most people have that the market is random and unpredictable? Everything we need to know to make our decisions on right there on the chart in front of you. once you learn to read there will be no stopping you.

Hi Mr. Pips

I took 3[edit] live trades at the HL point today with the sl at NSL(see pic). What I want to know is......are we able to tell b4 it happens that at the point where I made those trades the price will or will not make a NSL ? Thanks for your answer.

edit : a third which I traded but I was not sure about it so I closed it

That's why I asked you that question - how do we know b4 it happens if it will be NSH/L or LH/LL ?

Hi Mr. Pip
labeling the swings gives you swings you tend to overlook sometimes in the process of finding marketdirection.
Here I have the dow would you consider already a NSL or only after the break of the previous Structure High

Skyway,

structure analysis will tell you where price is going.
orderflow analysis will tell us if price will reach our expectations.
So with the second lesson of Mr. Pip you will be able to determine that.

{quote} Very nice chart! The tails in this type of analysis are not important it's the close that matters. What id price achieve? What it achieved is where it closed if it was higher then it was a NSH if lower a NSL. We go from close to close.

Thanks for clearing that up!

I can only speak for myself but this lesson helped me to focus on the clear swings and with that the chart is much easier to read. Before I got myself caught up in the short term order flow which made me put too much weight on it and thereby taking trades against the trend, my bankroll was not happy.

Awesome looks like you had two winning trades based of having the expectation correct and taking action well done. Now to the second part of your question, When we get into order flow next week is where this will help you assess this. If you remember from my video I wan able to let you all know which expectations were likely to fail before they did. we will develop those skill next week.

Are you seeing the advantage that you already have?

Both charts, NSH missing before the HL, CADJPY profit target nice, EURJPY profit should be able to go higher than yours.

Here's my attempt, the prices on the right are just an increasing slope, so there's no reasonable structure to that.

A question to MrPip, you mentioned:
" The tails are not important. What is important here is the close. To achieve a NSH or NSL we must achieve a higher or lower close. The trials don't create a NSH or NSL. you did fine but I want to make sure that is clear to everyone. "

Why the close? The close is just a single sample of the price. I know the Low and the High are the extremes of the price in time; so is the close a non-extreme compromise?

Cheers

You are absolutely correct. I was busy looking at the cadj trade entry that I took my eye off ej that skyrocketted upwards for a huge RR. I prefer to keep one trade at a time by choice and my decision to switch was wrong this time, maybe I should have kept both - tinge of regret.
