Well, today i shorted EURCAD and USDCAD because of a price movement i saw. well, what a whipsaw that turned out to be

lost 35 and 25 pips respectively

I really like the title to your thread here. Judging by my trading it may fill up fast. Haha
I lost 23 pips on Tuesday EUR/USD. Sad thing was on Wednesday it did the move I thought it would.
Lots of mixed news the last two days. CAD was very wipsaw today. I stayed out myself although tempted to jump in when USD/CAD was going back down.
Personally I'm going to let the news shake out this week. Especially with Bernanke speaking. It always causes wipsaws.
This week I have mostly been looking at AUD & NZD myself.
Got one AUD/USD from last week going very well. I'm looking to get another entry but can't find one under my plan. In addition to my EUR/USD I took a small long on NZD for 20 pips & got a long AUD/JPY I took today, that right now is moving back & forth between +5 & -5. I'm only looking for about 20-30 Pips on it. We'll see.

Gained 77 pips on gbpchf so far today, but it's only .5 lots. I thought i put in 2.5

and i losing on the eurjpy (30) pips after i went long off the TL and it didn't go far

but those who do not learn from the mistakes of the past are bound to repeat them, be careful :

I'm long EUR/JPY also. I took it @ 168.61 looking for 168.93. SL @168.37
It seems to to be whip sawing all over the place right now. I messed up my AUD/JPY. only got 20 pips when I could have got 50. Oh well My mistake. I moved my stop loss up too soon. At least it was a positive mistake.

well, as I buy eur/usd at 1.3825 now at 1.3810

the mistake I had was, did not check with 15 minutes chart. as W%R shows good to go up, so I did, had chance to get 2 pip... then it just drop like crazy


still holding it though.

but I think eur/usd should be going up anytime soon

it does go up, but not high enough, and sell it as loss 13 pips. anyway, after getting back. see the indicators show good go for sell. again not greedy enough, so did not get that much profit. otherwise 50 pip

I have quite some losses recently on the pairs I trade: AUD/USD, GBP/USD and EUR/JPY. When I developed the trading strategy and plan I knew there will be days I would have losses. What bothers me is that recently I deviated from my original trading strategy. So what is "mistake": losses or deviation from original trading plan? or it is simply the cost of learning?

I thought you were using a signal service for your trades.. based on your other thread so you have to take what you get, as you probably don't know how they determine there trades...
