Hello! C-12, I have two questions here. Chaos Semafor is an old repainting indicator. What kind of help it does for all ace traders? What is the logic behind it. And why your style of trading is not sustainable?
Ignored
The Chaos indi is purely informational to show highs and lows in 3 levels and it looks pretty cool. No trading decisions are based on it but I do know Ken uses the alert function to let him know when a pair is breaking out or just moving.

As for the sapling intensity it is very hard work, constantly watching for M5 engulfing candles, checking the left, USDX and cycling through the time frames. Ideally I would take regular breaks but discipline is not my strong point and why I haven't been consistent enough.

You could as why don't just leave the upper sells to run but by banking and adding I managed to rack up over 400 pips on GU alone in one session so this can get a bit addictive.

Here's the EU scalps from Friday. Ugly premature exit in end by looks of this..

Got a bit knackered after over 10 hours intensive so threw in the towel.

Nicely done.

The swing account is not great to be honest. It just isn't my style of trading and I'm running out of time to get my trading career off the ground while also studying for some exams.

I had a chat with Ken who basically told me to focus 100% on what I do best which unfortunately a the moment is low time frame frame scalping.

Anyway some EU scalps this afternoon. Looks like it will be a premature final close.

GU got scrappy and died a death so bailed on all of it. Probably should leave positions at BE overnight.

If I may be so bold:

I had a chat with Ken who basically told me to focus 100% on what I do best which unfortunately, at the moment, is low time frame frame scalping.

I would change to:

I had a chat with Ken who basically told me to focus 100% on what I do best which fortunately, at the moment, is low time frame frame scalping.

It is what I do best as well. Here is something you may want to consider ( if you have not already done so? ). When trading the larger TF one tends to take a smaller position ( 1 lots ) in hopes of a larger run in pips. I, on the other hand, tend to increase my position sizing ( still risking about the same in $$ ) looking for a solid 2:1 or 3:1 R/R. I will even add to the position if I think the level is strong enough, trend is right.. etc. Especially if I am trading a SD level INTO a higher TF.. I do my bets trading in these types of moves.

Yes, this is an agressive style of trading but but I would argue not as radical as many would believe. Position sizing being the key element.

I am a big advocate of how one thinks when trading. Ken has suggested a thread someday regarding the mind set of a trader and what it intails. Cant wait !!
For me it has made all the difference in the world. It is the little things ( like the change above ) that seemd to get lost along the way.. yet are so very important to our success.

I enjoy your thread a great deal!!

Stay focus, stay positive.. this is the real edge in trading.

In the end it's a very personal journey because no one of us is the same... even though in the core we are trading the same kind of strategy or perspective of market (S&D and PA) everyone of us executes trades differently at speed and thus timeframe.

On my personal side, I really went away from M1 and M5 and very rarely go to these timeframes, expect maybe at a very slow monday, but even like yesterday there can be made 50-100 pips at least by trading pairs beginning on M15.

My main goal is still to get to a point where I am a very good swing trader, as this technically isn't much else than trading on the M1, but the signals are much more cleaner on a H4 or Daily Chart and offer lots more pips. Of course, in a longer time period, but whoever traded swing successfully at least for a short amount of time, will know that hundreds of pips a day is nothing a swing account. It's about growing an account by having a open balance with multiple pairs locked in profit which are running to the desired targets, and mostly everyday one of them can be taken off full or reaches its target. That is a very relaxing kind of trading.

Right now I'm sitting on the M15/M30/H1 charts and scan through the pairs every half an hour. The good things is, I can do something else in the meantime, but still it's a routine job that somehow can be improved. But here we are at the point I've mentioned in the beginning, we are all different, and whereas Neil really likes scalping 1-2 pairs on a very low timeframe, I feel comfortable scalping like 10 pairs on a bit higher timeframe...

The big aspect is only "time" in trading because the process to become a very good and profitable trader takes a few years...

Infest you say you watch 10 pairs. Would you on the 60min TF for example be comfortable with taking short positions on both the eurusd and the gbpusd as both are closely correlated? Or would an open position on one of them keep you out of the other as open trades on both would be doubling your risk?

If you would't mind could you share your 10 pairs that give you a good selection on these medium TF's without too much correlation? I found watching 20 pairs on the 4hr TF that at times if I was wrong on 1 pairs, say eur/jpy I was wrong on 2-3 jpy pairs with correlation kicking in. Thanks....

I'm not really doing this... right now im just focusing on Price Action in / around zones and if I see a reasonable target I go for it, it can be EU, GU and NU at the same time. It doesn't matter for me... same on swings... few weeks ago I was on swings los on the Kiwi (5 pairs at a time)

I'm watching on scalp side mainly: EU, GU, UJ, USDCHF, AU, Crude, Brent, Dax, Gold - these are like the majors I watch, but I also scalp on like Kiwi crosses such as ENZD and GNZD as they offer much higher pip count, and sometimes better scalp entries as EU and GU...

On swing im monitoring around 30-40 pairs with usually 5-20 pairs running at the same time with trades.

But I agree with you, this may be something that is very important with big live account, but right now I'm working on getting my trades right on concentrate on what works, and if I have a setup on all USD related pairs, I take all of them.

Great points as always. Psychology is 90% of this business and by far the hardest to master and the only thing stopping me from making a decent living right now from this.. Although I'm working my arse off to make this happen.

Been heavy on GU scalps today.

One of the bigger swings closed, trailed this very closely so it was obvious it will hit my stop...anyways was a nice ride for me, 200 pips is good for me on swing side
