{quote} Jamz.......Bernanke got downgraded to 'Idiot' by R & J some time ago I see eur/usd has moved 244 pips already.....back into the 1.30's......sigh....yet again!

Muppet, Senior Muppet, Idiot....ok I've got it now.

I noticed the magical 1.3000000000 number but as you have already noticed it as I thought you would due to it being stuck in your astrological chart for the next 10 years.

Too, I am learning to combine M5 and M15 charts to line up the same or similar but I mustn't just try hard to convince myself, they must fulfill my entry criteria or there is NO TRADE. If I feel I have missed out on so much price action, I go and peruse a monthly chart to just remind myself of the tiny part I missed!!! I'm a lazy bum waiting for RJ to discover the truth that maybe entry on M5 and monitoring on M15 has merit. I am considering trading only with a full matrix + the 3 timeframed arrow matrix but haven't quite made up my mind yet. I am not the best at testing but will have a look over the weekend. It is the feeling of making the rules of entry so strict that one may miss out is hardest, but really, how will it play out in the long term? It may mean missing out on some dud trades?

{quote} Good that your trade worked out, but it so easily could have gone the other way. 1. PA was nearly flat lining 2. Both stochs were well into bull country, which is ok, but so easily could have turned over and is not great for an entry position 3. Pretty close to the underside of the DP None of these things on their own are necessarily a bad thing, but I certainly wouldn't have entertained an entry there. You got away with with it, and you have pips in your pocket....you may not get away with it next time though

Thanks RJ, will keep these facts in mind in the future. I knew I was a bit "out of sync".

I can't get into anything here tonight although i have tried. Mr Market keeps me at BE and then heads off -- ENZ I think the market is as nervous as I am and may settle by next week to some sort of pattern I can play with again. I do not want to become a scalper!!! Made a little of Euro but should of stayed with it a bit longer instead traded out. Need calming coffee .......... It is good to see the market tonight and watch matrix, stochs etc in this vibrant scenario!!! Price still loves pivots.

Seems all markets love pivots.

I remember watching these webinars , a year or so ago, on commodities.

The presenter had pivots on charts for all markets and based trades on basis of trades off pivots points

I have a short running on EU (M15) but nothing else. I've seen some good M5 trades but I'm not taking any because I don't want to get distracted from my testing. I think this weeks M15 trades will be poor in comparison to last 2 weeks.....still in the green though, baring any disasters, but not a very good tally so far. This is all good really because it shows the importance of a decent test period. Remember my first test week was +673.......and it would easy to make a rash judgement on that and endorse the M15 as the best TF for trading.......but one week doesn't show the true picture. This week I doubt that I'll get half that total. So you can see why I like to test for an extended period...it's so important to try and cover as many different market circumstances as possible before making any sort of opinion on the matter.

It's the same for testing of any system or modification of a system. Many people test for a day, and declare that they have the 'holy grail', only to lose their money in the coming weeks as the 'holy grail' system falls over!

Now.....coffee time!

I just reviewed my entries with pivots in mind and know I must not chase the breakout but bravely wait for price to come back for a much better entry. While genesis matrix and stochastics are still pointing the right way, that first break may be just "showing its hand" for price and has just about trapped me enough times for me to have learnt my lesson. Hmmmm, that patience thingy again......

You were right, RJ. Once that light bulb is on, there's no turning back! Still, I know there's so much left to learn.

Thank you very much for the voucher. It means a lot to me when it comes from you!

Another busy day today....it's been a crazy week. I have no trades open at present, and I'm not sure if I will a chance today or not. Still......the test is still in the green and I will post the brief details over the weekend, whether or not I trade today

I'm still here....lol....in and out today! I have an EU trade running that I probably shouldn't have taken. It's in profit, but I didn't really analyse the setup too closely......it met the entry criteria so I took it and dashed out again. Be that as it may, now I have a little time to drink my coffee and watch the charts for a while and I'm looking at EJ to see if we get a DP rejection.

Both trades are M15 btw....

I'm against you! Took a buy on UJ M5 though but have closed it out due to uncertainty of PA, ie: it was going nowhere. Escaped with a few little pips and now it can go on to next setup. I must say, I would prefer to see both M5 and M15 stochastics a lot closer to being alike than that entry but just went for M5. PA a little undecided so far tonight. "I don't have to have a trade running......no...."

EJ has tested this level twice before today.....I think I'll let this one go for now.....

Edit: and the moment I said that....down she goes!! That's ok though....I didn't feel too good about it.

The stochastics looked a lot prettier earlier but price was above the DP. That is a frustration sometimes but my experience has told me to leave mouse alone at those times, and so price does go on or not, it doesn't matter. There are sometimes lots of price movements which do not meet entry criteria....gosh, I sound like I'm learning something at last....:nerd:Truth is, I'm sticking to my rules!

Yep....and it's easy to be wise after the fact. I have no problem waiting for something better though. It's nice to enter a trade feeling good about it....it's a pain to enter and then fret about it!!

Here's a good setup where faith in the system paid off. Matrix, stochastics and arrows all lined up. I just couldn't bring myself to move to +30 and wait for more which could happen. I traded out on the AU reaching a previous low watching the M15. I'm very pleased to post this chart to show a consistent week for me and my eco-bulb may be glowing quite well now!
