Well, this thread was born out of the needs as seen in the Lmax thread in the broker section.....http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=266866...

lmax provides the lowest spreads around....u can check them here...http://www.myfxbook.com/forex-broker-spreads....

i am not a rep of lmax...this is what i do....one, i run a software company...two, i manage funds....three, i run a brokerage with a volume of 8 billion a mnth...so there is no need for me to solicit clients for lmax in exchange for the paltry IB fees that i can get or the $250 intro fees or whatever they give....my true intention was to help retail traders and big traders get a smell of institutional spreads...i know the bosses at LMAX cos they are the LP for my brokerage...thats why i wanted to help but as has become the norm in FF, other users started doubting why i was doing this, what do i get out of this, how they can stop me from getting it etc etc.

Rather than focus on what lmax can give to the trader and how the trader can benefit from lmax, they seem more concerned abt me and my history....any amount of marketing cant sell a bad product...if lmax is bad, u r going to leave it in 2 weeks...if its good, u are going to stick around...its as simple as that....i simply cant understand how what i was, what i do, how much money i can make etc. should matter in all this....

i have started this thread so that i can clear up my name and continue to give the opportunity to those who want lmax accounts....1k minimum deposit....fees is $2.5 per 100k lot per side....those who want can post here as i cant receive PMs, being a commercial member....lemme know...

Hey guys im trying to find the right PB or Broker to trade my investors money im also working on my CTA Lic , i contacted lmax today via live chat and they told me that min deposit for Institutional clients is only $10,000 and it seems that all you have to do to qualify for this account is any of these...hft system, lic equivalent to CTA Lic in your country or a corporate account but no volume requirements like PB's but there is a $5mill req for free API or $300 a month.

I was going to go to a PB but i think LMAX might be a better option. Integrall their requirements for opening an account are at least $25mill per month volume, $10mill aum and min deposit $500,000 at $5 commissions. Also important to know some inside secret retail don't know What MM,PB,ECN, consider no friendly flow or Toxic Flow is Scalpers that get out with in 0min-1hr so if Prime of prime doesn't like it imagine fxcm and other last look dealer brokers lower on the latter and from what i heard directly for those that think the fx is to big to manipulate they WILL pick you out the herd into their winners list and manipulate your mt4 with plugins or the other dodgy stuff they do on retail cuz their main worries are keeping their LP's happy without toxic flow in their books that they sell to their LP's.

The only thing is that Why is LMAX Institutional pricing wider then a professional account, i thought spreads would be more competitive on institutional account?

The reason why the institutional venue has wider quotes is exactly what you say above. Lmax does not want what is considered toxic flow on the 'Professional' venue. If you try stuff like arbitrage trading they will ask you to move to the institutional venue or close the account. On institutional there are no such restrictions - thats why LPs quote wider spreads there and tighter on professional. But we are talking milli/micro-second HFT strategies that try to pick off slow LPs. Everything else is fine on the professional platform. At least thats what their CEO said in an interview.

Thanks for the response Shrike! that's perfect environment for my low freq black box with alphatrader2.0 tactic implementations.

just some info ive also herd execution tested via a cloud server with Rackspace UK, same data center as LMAX. Way under 1ms.
