Hi Angus I would like to know your response to the Etoro connections?
Ignored
They're proud of it and think etoro is "one of the most innovative forex brokers globally". lol

We run the eToro asia pacific operations from our IC Markets office here in Sydney, this is sales and marketing. eToro and IC Markets are two different entities with completely different infrastructure. The fact that we have partnered with one of the most innovative forex brokers globally before they were as established as they are now, says something about the people driving this company, they're smart..

Hi,

I am new in Forex, and my main concern is about the safety of our deposit (Of course some other may laugh at it that I sud worry this until I make some money).

What is the ASIC governance of client funds ? Or is there some "summary" info about regulators (rather than going through all the small prints) available for newbie like me. I understand there are FSA(UK), NFA(US), etc http://www.100forexbrokers.com/forex-regulation

I understand some companies are trying to "escape" via some potential "loop holes" e.g. the company is registered at Country A, but receive client funds at Country B, and hosted the server at Country C, and for a Country D client to pursue anything is almost impossible. Is my understanding correct ?

This may not be related to this post but I asked because I am interested to open an account with IC Markets and hence found this post.

I usually don't post anything, but IM going to post that I funded my account with IC markets, and its going on 3 days now, and I have yet received any account details, nor have my account activated. This is the slowest process I have ever encountered. I have sent in all my verification documents. I will wait and see, since I am very patient person.

These guys are terrible.

They arent crooks from what i can tell, but there is no customer service whatsoever. The servers or some technical issue always have things down, and they never get back to you with answers.

They just dont respond or give some general comment, and no apoologies whatsoever.

Its just not worth the frustration of dealing with them at this stage. I would advise anyone thinking of using ICMarkets use another broker who can actually andle one of the core requirements of a broker a working system, and an ability to handle queries and in a timely manner.

Just to comment again on my previous comments. I decided to persist with ICMarkets, and I must say it seems to have turnaround a lot. Everything has been running smoothly and I am actually very happy. The customer service has been more responsive, and the system runs very well with some pretty good pricing.
Keep up the good work guys, and lets hope this doesnt happen again. Good to see they take action on the negative feedback and dont discount the voice of there clients.

Is this somehow a duplicate thread? There's already a thread for them at the Broker Discussion forum,
IC Markets
No longer trading forex. Looking for full time job.
