Dont even think of connecting any brokerage with such a small spread because they can not be ecn. You should defenetally look for an ECN broker not a 1 pip market maker.

If you want to invest less than $10000, there is FxClearing with fixed spread = 1 pip for EURUSD only, others currency are low enough. I am joining this broker since 2009 and no problem with withdrawal.

Actually, on their Pro account the average spread for eur/usd is just around 0.5 pips, can go as low as 0.1 pips! It requires a minimum depo of 1000 usd/eur, though.
I second the motion. As per Tommy Proun suggested, you better trade on an ECN than finding a broker with fixed small spread.

You go for an ECN broker to avoid conflict of interest.
DD broker's interest (to make profit) is directly in conflict the traders interest (to make profit)... that should be obvious and no amount of sugarcoating and spinning is going to change that.

MM broker profiting when a client loses a trade where ECN is earning through commission only. In short, MM brokers are against your interest which is to profit.

Doesn't make sense. If I take the same entries and same exits on both a ECN broker and a fixed spread broker, are you saying I will win on ECN broker but lose on fixed spread broker?

The fixed spread broker might "Requote" your trade, slip your entry/exit a couple pips, disconnect/freeze the platform - market makers have all kinds of tricks they use to give them the edge over you since when you lose THEY win. ECN's only make money from commission they don't care if you win or lose. (in fact they hope you win so you trade more and larger)

Those tricks could cost you thousands of pips over the course of a trading year. for many those small pip slippages on entry and exit can be the diff between profit and loss. Finding a honest market maker is a challenge, ECN makes it just a little bit easier to find a decent broker that at least doesn't trade against you.

I use LMAX and MB Trading and these brokers play no tricks on me.
