Hello All,

Maybe someone can help. I am so confused. After working on what I thought was going to be a sweet little trading system...I find out the platform I was working on is not the same as another company's.

Why do the candle patterns appear totally and completely different from Interbank FX Trader 4, than from SmartTradeFX ECN MetaTrader 4.0? These platforms appear to be exactly the same in their functions, but the results they give are not. Why can't I figure out the same basic trades on both? No matter what pair I pull up, or which time chart, the results are way off.

Perhaps this is a completely laughable situation to someone who has been around for a few years, but could someone still please help me figure this out?

Thanks a bunch!

Could a time zone make the difference? How can I tell what time zone they are currently on?

Yes, it is the time the broker start.... Im not sure how to change it... best thing is to choose one broker and use it only
Interbank have sunday data (I hate it... canges the monday pivots according to a 3 hours day...lol) and it also start at london time -1 hour
Other like gotrader and Tadawul (and I think FXCM) starts the day 2 hours later, and it "create" a different 4H and daily candles

you can downlaod the demo's they offer to check it.
good luck !

Edit- Tadawul and Interbank doesnt even have the same 5 min candles (about 30 sec diff), but that is very rare...

Thanks Pipon! There does seem to be a lot of information regarding this particular subject, even on this board. Eventually I'll get it worked out.
