First, a 5 star rating for this thread! I have read every post thus far, and looked at every chart posted. Way to keep a thread flowing and going, and weed out some negativity. EVAL, thanks for your time and effort here- it really shows! As for anyone joining this thread, doesn't it make sense to make the commitment to READ THE ENTIRE THREAD to this point before contributing/commenting. I know we human beings want the EASY and IMMEDIATE gratification- and yet I learned when I first started trading that immediate gratification is an emotional response...

We_R_12 (Monk),

Thank you for your kind comments. I hope this thread will serve you well. If you want take a look at my post #1202. We could use some help there or look at the code of Symphonie Extreme indikator. I would like to have it more robust and if you could make it leave all spikes (bad and good signals) I think it would be something we could work better with.

If you are up for a challenge.

Thanks again,

Eval.

P.S. I love the movie the 12 monKeys! Brad Pitt is hilarious!

Eval,
Thanks for that. I read that on my way through, yet at your request, I looked at that again, and at present, it is beyond the scope of what I have a working knowledge of. MQ4- no worries. Perhaps someone in here has experience in coding from NinjaTrader to mq4. Not so long ago, I was looking at several other indis from another system that was exclusively on NinjaTrader with a buddy of mine. It is do-able, just finding the right person the right skill set. Do you have a screen shot of this indi, or is emulatable by a standard or Customized Indicator that you are aware of on MT4?
Thanks,
Monk E.
Blessings, Monk E.

Volume too low, I think. Plus, I would wait for a downtrend to form at least on the 1H... Maybe tomorrow at the London session.

Okay so yes we know these indicators repaint. But I still have a point to make. So for example the cycle indicator... not only do the spikes repaint (disappear afterwards, or move a bar or two over) but also the extreme spikes (colored spikes) disappear OFF the spike so later on you will have a spike that was at first a colored spike but it now just a spike.

So it is just a bit silly looking at everyone posting these screenshots or even looking back. WHY WHY WHY not just code a damn one that displays signals and keeps them on. There is no reason to have them disappear.
Oh and these signals do well repaint even if all 4 are supportive of each other.

I got 6 repaints from 26 1 minute bars with the cyclical indicator and a similar amount with the others that repaint. Also those 26 1 minute bars are very normal and look exactly like 26 1 hour bars. So at least for that time it looks exactly the same and would look the same on higher time frames. As it would almost always.

So all I'm saying is what is the reason for not just looking at the code you are using, then.. at least understanding it and maybe maybe just change it for the better. So these screen shots at least represent what you look at to enter and or exit. Because even the signals you take to enter and exit do disappear/change afterwards.

This has been explained several times already, and you should be able to figure this for yourself....it isn't rocket science. The extreme spike paints when a top or bottom is reached, according to the parameters of the programmed code......which is not easy. Then the PA then 'defies' the spike and goes higher (or lower as the case may be), then the extreme spike has to disappear because the conditions that made it appear in the first place are no longer true. In other words, the top (or bottom) has not yet been reached. There is NO WAY to program the extreme spike to recognize ONLY the very top (or bottom). If it *was* possible, then we would possess the 'holy grail' and we would be millionaires within a week or two.

Now, this system is not perfect........the perfect system does not exist. This system is very good. I find it improves by using the stochastic oscillator as well.....other use the TDI indi to help out.

My suggestion to you is to chill out......read the whole thread.....try different settings.....learn more about candle formations etc etc etc. This system is generating a LOT of pips for a lot of people......and that's a fact.
