Your contributions and your work are of the highest caliber and a real asset to this thread as well as FF, I have benefited from your work and contributions and I am sure many more have as well. I must confess I did not examine your files in detail, however, I did look at the two charts you posted. Your charts are very comprehensive and have quite a lot of information on them, however, the point Bob was making was that so much info can be confusing. Some people have the ability of looking at such charts and analyze the information straight away, however, others will not.

Thanks once again for all your great and valuable work. I will download and use your modification of Phover`s dashboard which would save a lot of time and effort.

wasn't upset but u know, when u spend time coding and trying to create something and put that thing in a forum so thet other people could use it, it's pity when u can't communicate in the right way!
anyhow, i took off the sixth, and as soon as i'm sure that everything works right i'll upload the new phover-the flame NH4Manager...
heve only to correct some things because i love and use the dss bressert...highly reliable when normal stochs go crazy! but of course not a part of this system so u guys may prefer the classic macd divergence signal (i used that simbol to show when the dss is deeply (deeeeeeeeply) under or overbought (rwb can stay high for a long time...the bressert... nope!)
so if u like just take a look at a chart on YOUR screen and see if all the fancy staff is useful or not.....for me are great (of course...i put them together!) and i'm sure that once properly analyzed u'll probably find that the MTF moving average are not this mess at the end...

On page 10 you state 2 rules for UT:
"a. When price action is above the red line and the high and low of both candles is above both lines, we are in an uptrend (UT). "

But after that, in the first chart, the rules are a little different:
"UT Definition:
1. When a candle opens above the green line OR
2. moves above the previous highs"

And after that, on the first chart in page 11, you write:
"DT when high and low are below both lines" as a single rule for DT which I assume correct also for UT.

So - which one is the correct definition?

For someone like me who knows a bit of html code to make a simple web page what you guys do is simply magic. So your efforts are highly appreciated. We all learn by practice and time. For instance Steve says that around 5 / 6 years ago he asked someone if he had to use a ruler on the chart and draw Fibonacci lines by hand!!! After years of practice and learning he has reached a point that lot of us consider him to be our guru. Having the ability of modifying Phover`s dashboard shows that your coding skills are much more advanced than you admit.

You wont like my answer but both are correct. When price is ranging and then it breaks out you will end up with a candle that has both the high and low above the lines. However, may get in too late at that point. If you take the last swing highs/lows and suddenly price shoots past them. That is when the actual UT/DT starts. Later the candle ends with both being above/ below. Here is the eur/usd right now. Ranging very well and have gotten a couple of nice trades the last two day. However. you see the red lines. When price breaks through either way you will get your UT or DT candle but I will be looking for the break through those lines. So that is why you have the definitions. I am looking for the EUR/USD BO and then I think it is going to go on a run.

Here is the break out up and the candle with the break in Resistance. Look for opens that BO above. Good place for a manual entrance.

The flame I find that a dashboard indicator is one of the most useful tools there is in trading forex. It is easy once you are familar to keep track of mutiple pairs and time frames for activity and trade setups. I get frustrated with MT4 charts switching back and forth all the time. I will welcome your NB10 DB when you feel it is ready and thank you for the efforts.

Also, I thank Bob for his tireless and continuing effort at becoming a better trader and allowing others to freely tag along. Your kidness and generosity are very much appreciated.

My only problem, as I have a bad experience with swing high/low break, is that sometimes it's not so easy to define the last swing high/low. And even after determining it, you must wait for a clear breakout, as a lot of times it breaks for a few pips and retrace back to the range.
What is your recontamination for this system? 1 pip break is enough?

My system is to see the break and catch the retrace back in or set a buy/sell EA and catch it going out. The problem is right now the market is all over the place. If you check the monthly charts some currency pairs are having their biggest candles ever and it is only the 11th of the month. The truth and I will just be bluntly honest with you. It is very difficult to read a market like this. Certain currencies are just plunging or racing to new highs at a record pace. If this month keeps up like this we may end up with moves bigger than Oct. 2008, I am sorry but I don't have the answer to this mess. I am just so glad I am trading small enough that I don't have to worry about my account being challenged. Most of my trades are .02 or .03 cents because I need to practice with my own system but dang if you didnt go with these moves you are in deep doo doo right now. I mean this is August and usually a very quiet month but we are getting the opposite. I would never have posted this system yet if I knew this was going to happen. Still at least from the charts I know something big is happening out there. Where it is going to end I have no idea. Some of these currencies have had 1000-1500 pip moves without any major retracement and they are the medium to slow pairs. Dang what happens if the pound and Euro join them, it will be a nightmare if you aren't on the right side of these moves.
Just to add to my answer. The problem I see is price is breaking out but we are not getting the usual zig zag patterns so you can catch a retrace into the move. That is a problem I am seeing with market moves right now.

im finding your entries on the daily and 4hr quite confusing, im seeing sells in an obvious uptrend as show above and buys in a dt on some charts posted? i assume its because u r showing charts without the BB...

quick question does anyone know if the EA's work on ECN style mt4's ie GoMarkets?

Sorry used a pic that is using a recovery trade. Didnt mean to confuse. That is the daily chart I dont use BB on the daily just the 2 lines and the candle read.

Yes we use the 10.0 for recovery on the Daily as the main recovery tool. If I get into a range section then I may use the 1H or 4H.

I dont know what you mean. If you read the daily chart then you go to the 4H or 1H to trade. The direction doesnt change with the chart change.

is the sell entry based upon 4hr or 1hr bollinger band cross?

Neither, it is an outside in recovery trade on the Daily chart.

Dear Bob, and Everyone,

First of all: thank you Bob for your selfless, hard work, I admire you!

Today in the morning I've put on the 10.0 1H NB REENTER SELL.mq4 EA on the EURCHF chart, and in the next 10 hours it entered ~15 times, because of the huge bullish candles, and many of the trades reached the SL. I think it would be good to build in a suspend option after the EA enters a trade, like the "old" v5.3 EAs do.

First I dont trade with SL, now you know why. You cant trade the daily charts and use tight stops. Learn to recovery trade and you will become profitable. I traded .02 - .05 cent trades with 1-2000 and make 50-100 bucks a week. Remember over 80% of traders lose money and almost every one of them will argue the tight stop position. If you think traders who use millions of dollars use 50 pip SL you are high. 50 pips is a half of a penny. Can you imagine a stock broker taking an order for a BUY on IBM stock and the guy telling him to put a half a penny stop on his stock trade???? You would be treated like a nut case. The reason people cant make money in FOREX is they use rules of trading not used in any other style of trading whether it be stocks, bonds, commodities, etc. What is being taught out there is, to me anyway, foolishness. I have learned to trade where it would take 20,000 pips in losses to wipe out my account. Do you know how bad of a trader you would be to lose that amount of pips. If you are going to use my trading systems you will need to completely change how you think.
