as my last post stated, there can be some confusion with the values associated with the TMA trend value, although when I entered my trade the value was below my number of 35, this was only due to the fact that there had been a couple of wild swings which had "reset" the trend

i will be thinking of a way to stop this possible source of confusion

my current thinking is to have yet another trend value, however this one is based on the TMA period, ie. then we would have a "short term trend" value and a "long term trend" value

of course none of this would have happened if I had been eyeballing the charts better, I need to get my computer fixed so that I don't have to try and trade from my laptop (which is a nightmare)

John,
I'm in same trade. It's so logical! Price is above the bands ( i.e. it's Overbought).
It makes a high, then a second attempt - and fails. It's ripe for a short!

RF finder triggers, and away it goes

what are your thoughts about a possible MOM trade long from the mid line, or opposite band?
Ignored

sebastiaan..

remember the reco's....
firstly you need a STRIKING BAND.. before fitting a MOM or Mid MOM play..

at moment we got a direction bullish but its mild its not quite striking...

little details to pay attention too that will make the difference.
good thinking and open eyes for opportunities.. its awesome.

If this level holds as support, and we get a nice RF long indication ( preferably after a double bottom at this level ) - then I will long.

Not strictly by the rules, but hopefullly it happens around the mid line or below it for a MOM trade

A mid band play in this situation will fail you 8 out 10 times...
re-read my explanation little while ago... you need a STRIKING pa ban... you got a half ass one at best..
just a brotherly advise.

I will pose a important and super technical question to see who can see the true face of the situation and come up with the correct answer..

looking at EU chat at the moment.. its retracing back to the lower band..
if it reaches the lower band and bounces.. what is the setup trade that you have?

a) NT
b) MOM
c) Neither

Dean, i would say it would be more of a NT trade (with a long bias ).

p.s. really appreciate your system and your input Dean.

you are correct..

the reasoning is simple..
in order to have a MOM or a Mid MOM setup firstly we will need a striking band and not a mild one.. so simply a so closed MOM or Mid mom looking setup can be rejected by a experienced well aware trader within his own range of trading plan.. thats what its all about.

and you are most welcomed.
