Looking forward to this sir....thank you. As a rule I stay away from NFP, but this will be interesting. I spoke to Tarantula yesterday as my trading style is similar in some aspects to his, and I presume yours. I'll let my charts with reasons, SL & TP do most of the talking for me. When something comes along that I wish to trade, I'll post it here.

As you say, lets make money together, but also, lets learn from each other.

Thanks for starting this thread guys, I have been trying to follow the "sensible posts" on the EU thread but there are so many "fun posts" that it is to hard to read most of the time.

I have noted your charts etc on EU thread so very pleased to see this one started. Hopefully you can keep it clean of fun posts and we can actually learn from it.

I would like to know if the trade in this post was taken off the MA on your chart or other reasons. If it was the MA could you tell me if is it 200 EMA?
I have attached the CII indicator for you to have a look at. A poster called Medici (who is a FAR better trader than me uses it quite often)

As we know...enter on retracement...a scalp trade

Red lines are entry points...Last 1 scalped for 5. Thats called scalping into support.

Attachment 736927

Always wait for a retracement before jumping into a trade. The only exception is Breakout (BO) trade where ur entry is MOMENTUM based.

For a momentum trade I usually mark the highs and lows between 00 and 5:30 GMT.

When there is a momentum ( only GBPUSD pair) price usually breaks for a quick 10-15 pips...After the news its 30+ sometimes.

Hi Tarantula,
What i've read so far, this thread has some real potential - good luck. As for CII I think I am correct in saying that it isn't 'normalised' i.e not constrained to a scale of 0 - 100 thus making zonal sentiment identification questionable? but as stated a few pages back great for divergence spotting. Anyway, will read along with interest.

regards

doc.

Because of my time zone, the Asian and UK sessions are my bread and butter. Not much going on today but I am currently into my second GU trade. My system is different to yours T, but there are some similarities that we will see in due course.

Both trades are taken at the rejection of the daily pivot, and both have/had TP at S1. SL is 20 pips above the DP. SL on the current trade is at BE due to the choppiness of a Friday and an NFP Friday at that

The reason for the trades is because the PA opened below the pivot, so I will enter short only......and the entry will always be at the rejection of the testing of the DP.

Edit: The indi is the Stochastic by the way

Edit 2: Just got stopped on the second trade.

Good Thats a scholastic example of old school ( and proven trading). When PA opens below the PP ( 00.00h candel), the day is considered bearish, so bearish setups can be played ot for good.

Thats another approach to trading and pretty straightforward. Proven many times before. Good job!

Hi RJ,

I have been looking at trading EU, GU off daily, weekly, monthly pivot lines, S1,R1 and Mids of W/M so I am interested in your method.

Do you use the Tokyo open price compared with the DP or the open price of the broker (USA close).

Do you need the Stoch to be OBOS for an entry to be valid ?

I note you also have a squillion vouches so would value your thoughts.

I will be coming across the pond to see family in September, hopefully it will be a bit warmer by then.

G'day ozmacca,

So as not to hijack Tarantula's excellent thread, I'll answer your questions in a PM over the weekend. I'll type it up and send it to you and anyone else who is interested.
