Can someone kindly put up a template file with the watchdog.ex4 indicator being used on it?

I am one of those who can't get ex4 files to appear in my list of available indicators, even though I can make use of them when they are already attached to a template which I import.

Thanks

Apologies if this has been mentioned in this thread but I've just re-read it and I can't see an answer... why in the attached is the TMSTDI_WatchDog TDI (the pink bit) flat while the TMS-Osc TDI showing a cross? Shouldn't they be the same? Or is the reason because I'm looking at the trade mid-bar?

Thanks

Pete

The the first 5 lines of the first post in this thread should answer your question. If that is not enough, proceed to post 22.

Also, what is the price action telling you? You have a rather large reversal bar. However, one of TDI oscillators is pointing down. Does that seem correct to you?

I see you wrote in the first post: "This results in chart of an indicator that has been running live looking different form a chart of an indicator that is newly loaded." This answers my question.

I'm a bit confused here - are you saying that this isn't a valid trade signal? When you say "one of TDI oscillators is pointing down", are you referring to the RSI?

Thanks

Peter

Whether you consider it a valid signal or not depends on which indicator you are using and how you are using it.

Thank you, I understand. The TMS Watchdog has a setting "RefreshLastBar". It says "false=Freezes last bar till its end" - I have it set to false which I guess is why the pink part is not updating mid bar (unlike your oscillator which updates mid bar).

That is great then. You can have it whichever way you please. I have updated the first post in an effort to explain the difference better.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Attached Image (click to enlarge)

Name: ss.png
Size: 10 KB

--- Update ---

I got the double text to go away by setting their values to false:

Name: ss2.png
Size: 44 KB

Also set showHeikenAshiInfo = false.

--- Update ---

Was able to get rid of random lines be setting ColorizeLastBar = false. However, the last part of the line is no longer colorized.

--- Update ---

Now the text is frozen in the state shown above. While I am not getting double text, the text displayed is showing exactly the same across all time frames and all pairs.

So I need to set all those values back to true and have double text.

--- Update ---

The double text problem does not exists in EURUSD; only all other pairs.

You don't need a fixed version. Just delete the indicator from your screen and add it again.

Theres another suggested fix in the thread but that is what worked for me.

On first, dear Xaphod, thank you very much for your indicators: they do really work vey well.
Your TDI is fantastic and since it does not freeze like the others, this is a huge improvement.
Now I would like to ask you a couple of questions:
1) What's the yellow line in the TDI for?
2) Is there an alert for the cross between the green line and the YELLOW line?
Cheers
Fabius

Dean Malone created the TDI indicator and has some videos about it on his website compassfx.com.

If you do not know what the line is for, why would you want an alert for it? Anyway, there are a couple number of indicators that can provide alerts:

I seem to be having a problem with the indi. When A cross goes through and an alert comes on it just keeps on beeping over and over and over.

I've gone through the thread and did'nt really find anything on it.

Any help any one.

Which indicator do you have problems with?
What is the version number of said indicator you are using?
What alert settings are you using?
