DislikedI think it's good you missed it as we seem not to be talking about the same things here and would end up going around in circles anyway (however, I still maintain my position that it doesn't have to be all supply and demand that's doing the push and pull on the price of oil, see my above post with references to Exxon). Personally, I blame the means of communication - there's no face to face, no voice and there's no way of stopping you mid-sentence and asking for clarification. So, with that settled let's get back to news.

DislikedThought I'd make this thread to try and steer away from technical analysis and focus more on the fundamental and strategic reasons behind daily price movements to try and get a clearer understanding of whats truly happening behind the charts.
The goal is to focus on the various participants of the markets (this may include Commodities, Equities, FX, Derivatives, etc.) It doesn't matter as long as we can focus our attention on what the guys that matter are truly doing or not doing and the reasons for their behavior.

If margin is used as intended ,"to protect" investors then why is forex ,the most volatile market got the lowest margin of all instruments.Ignored
DislikedA quick side note, Forex is not the most volatile market in the world. It's the most LIQUID market in the world.
Margin requirements come out of available liquidity. More liquidity equals lower margin.
Margins req's are invented only to protect the broker.Ignored
DislikedTodays market is being moved by fears of debt, war, economy, some politician farted, etc. etc.
Tommorows market will be moved by alcoa posting good profits after they altered their bean counting process. Followed by good news that the weather will be warm and sunny somewhere....Ignored
