Trading Made Simple EA by Guess Whom

The EA will only close a trade if you have one or more of the "Trade Closure Signals" set to true. If one of these are triggered you will get a pop up Alert telling you which one closed the trade, these are "Hidden" from the Broker, if a SL or TP that has been sent to the Broker is hit you will not get a pop up Alert, these are not "Hidden". The "Hidden" closures only take affect once you have gone into Profit, if the trade never goes into Profit they will not be active.

Pop Up Alerts look something like this:

"TMS has closed H4 trade on CCI Trigger"

All the other trade closures that cause a trade to close are sent ahead of time to the Broker, such as:

Stop Loss
Candle Stick Trailing stop
BE
JumpStop
etc

So if the trade closes and you don't get a pop up Alert it means the trade was closed by one of the above on the Broker's side, the EA did not do it.

I have had instances on Demo accounts where trades have closed for no apparent reason, the EA did not do it and the SL or TP were not hit, and the log shows nothing comming from the EA, I have noticed this with one Broker on his Demo accounts.

I test the EA on a real Live account with real money and have had no problems, but the same EA with the exact same settings on a different Broker on a Demo account at the same time has its trades closed for no apparent reason.

So if there is a bug in the EA I need the proper information to find it as stated in a previous message.

I am still running Version 22 on a real money account and it has taken 2 trades so far since the market opened. Both are on USDJPY, the first one closed at TP and the second one is still open.
I do not make any changes once I have started the EAs for the week, I just let them run on their own, if you keep jumping in and changing settings when trades are open its hard to tell what will happen, you either need to let it run and trust it or remove it. You can also run it in just the Alert mode so it will not take any trades but just give you an alert for you to check on. When you move the EA from a Demo account to a real money account it may be wise to run it in the "Alert" only until you think you can trust it.

I have run a lot of EAs that I have found on FF and some that were purchased, and I always start them out on a Demo Account, none of them have survived long enough to be moved and trusted on a real account.

I am now running EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, USDCAD, AUDUSD, and GBPCHF on the new V22 that you uploaded this morning.

Since i installed the updated version no trades yet today using the pre installed file set on H4.

When I got the multiple trades on the previous version last night I was using the set file included - the only thing I changed was the magic number.

Hopefully the current V22 will be fine and I will give an update later in the week

4) Set file

To reopen the Alert window just hold down the "Ctrl" key and press the "Zero" key at the top of the keyboard, may have to do it a couple times as it only...

The rest of the day I hade no problems 4 trades 3 winners 1 is running.

OK, here is what happened on the AUDUSD and EURJPY trades that made them take multiple trades. Both of these GAPed at the open causing the EA to FREAK OUT. I wait an hour after the open before I turn on any EAs to avoid this. As you can see the open and the TDI Cross both happened at the same time and since you are using "Dynamic TDI Close" it drove the EA crazy and it didn't know what to do. I see in your case the 5ema Close drove it crazy and closed it. The 5ema is lagging so was not caught up causing it to flop back and forth.
The fix is don't start EA before the open, wait and see what the charts look like. I always go through each chart before I start an EA on it, even if it is after the open or even in the middle of the week, to make sure I am not starting the EA in the middle of a trade.

If you only want to use CClevel Close then set all other close triggers to "0"

UseDynamicTdicrossClose works only when UseTdiCloseONcross is set to true, but for consistancy set it to false also.

Here are the results for 28th November from 6am GMT to midnight. Apart from the last USDJPY long which was closed manually, all the other trades were completely automatic.

Demo on 16 pairs.

Hanover set to TF=D1, slope=1.

After the last trade (USDJPY long), I have set the UseMaxNoOfTrades = TRUE, and MaxNoOfTrades = 1.

Total for the day = +65 pips

I am running Version 22 on three accounts, 1 live and 2 demo, the second 2 from a different Broker than the live one. I am using your H4 settings on all 3 and Hanover at H1 on one demo and Hanover at D1 on the other demo, Hanover slope of 4 on the demo accounts, no Hanover on the live account. So far all three are running neck and neck, same 2 trades on all three, both long trades on USDJPY. So will see how the rest of the week goes and who wins. The candlestick trailing stop has kicked in across all three so that seems to be working. The live and demo accounts do vary in candle time by 1 hour, demo being ahead, so that may affect entry times a little.

Time to go watch TV and then check back before I go to bed.

at 17:56GMT got the Candlestick Trailing stop set at 77.8193 alert.

So 1 trade for +4.48 today.

This is using the most recent V22 as is, its in profit but IMO has nowhere to go, (1H also is topped out) think I may need to include TDI 50% at least, or work on the channel % if thats still an option.
any other suggestions to prevent taking trades that look to have no room to move before I start changing settings ? (1 at a time of course)
Also it took 2 trades, but I know that has been addressed it the past and am rereading. (and no I dont have 2 U/Js running)

I thought that USDJPY had topped out too, but V22 just closed its 3rd profitable (demo) trade on it. So 1 AUDUSD and 3 USDJPY trades since market open. Very nice settings indeed!

I am skeptical about preventing trading when over 68 or under 32. Yes, there will be occasion when we are saved from buying or selling right at the top. But on the other hand, remember that this can also indicate a strong move up or down. In other words, sometimes being over 68 or under 32 will be when we get the best results. I personally will not be making that change to the current set file.

Now, Seller 9, I did put that new version of V22 on my VPS to see if it would d better with the candlestick trailing stop.

It did set the trailing stop successfully this time, but then as you can see when it tried to modify it, another of those mysterious error (1) no error errors was triggered. Is the code for modifying the candlestick stop different to the code that sets it in the first place?

Sorry this is not too much help, but thought you would appreciate the update anyway.

I just changed UseZone to true again, since it looks like we are in good zone for a sell (notice I'm talking about zone = trend bands)...

but then I have to wait for the Asian Close.. see some profit taking, and see if price handles to come back to that level for a good short-

I see gold stuck in a 80 pips range which is not good at all for the Asian session given the fact that we could say the Asian session is risk on. And asian are risky specially when it comes to gold.

I don't like trading this system too much for the first week of the month.. why? because we got so many high-impact news releases and it's risky to have open trades during the release because it could go either way.

Also remember Merkel and Sarkozy said they have a plan.. and that they would comment about it this week... so I'd be careful.
