i close my short positions and revers for long. i have profit target around 100 levevel to be retest

Hello everyone, hope the FOMC news release worked in your favor or you at least reduced position size for this very important and market moving news release. I decided to stay out since it was too much of a gamble, however I was expecting the taper and I wouldve guessed wrong. Several pairs had nice TDI crosses on the 1 HR chart such as EUR/USD and USD/CAD for the 12 pm candle and it continued with the 1 pm giving a heads up of a weaker US Dollar. I'm still studying and attempting to learn this system and my biggest challenge is trying to read too much into the charts and letting my predictions cloud my judgement of what the charts are showing.

hi is my first post here, I see Non-Farm Employment how can move the market but with FOMC Economic move 150 pips and more in my paris, Just I wanna know how to trade this big news ? is better open a trader before the news in the last swing S/R in direction of the main trend 4h / d1? or after the news? thanks

In my opinion, I feel it is better to let the news come out and let the markets settle and then look for the trade instead of trying to predict beforehand. It is too much of a gamble and it can have wild swings both ways during major news releases along with the crazy pip spread you will experience. There are going to be many other setups which do not rely on the news releases. Its very easy to want to be on the right side of the trade for easy pips, however if you are wrong, it can substantially hurt your account and I dont feel it is worth the risk.

I agree. Trading the news can drain a trading account in few minutes, and more importantly can cause serious psychological damage.
Yes, one can win but does it mean that winner trade(s) is based on a predefined plan...to me it is more scalping ups and downs...this creates bad habits(or brings back old bad habits we fight).

thanks! you right you can make 10k to 20 in fews minutes if we are right in the trade but we can lost too, what to avoid ALL high impact NEWS or same of them? but about medium impact news? Hector DeVille says no trade 2 hours before the news and 30 minutes after, that is the way to go? I am demo for 7 months
