Hey...sorry to hear that your struggling...would help if you post the charts and show your entries...
Also, what TF were you trading last night?

I posted the UJ trade earlier, but here it is again with the UC trade. Trades were taken tonight (this London session now). Im no newbie to forex, but I came across this strategy and its the kind of thing ive always been looking for - sort of opportunistic trading style in being able to use all currencies and all TF's and easy to teach others how to use (namely, my family - they are only MS word literate!).

BigE,
I have other charting software I would like to use but its not the same as meta trader and I dont think I can load the tdi onto it. I have sent them an email but can you tell me if it can be done using something standard that will give me the red/green lines?? Is it an RSI or something?? and if so would you have the inputs I need?
Thank you

Try this: RSI 10, set at typical price, plus 3 smoothed m/a.

possible short on G/U H1, everything looks good to me so far, except that the daily trend is up.

Also the last movent up was around 180 pips, its already retraced about 70 pips and could have support about 30 pips away.

any comments?

I reckon it looks pretty good. Last reversal wasnt much in it but we are in the right session to get movement. And although daily shows uptrend, the 4 hourly tdi has flattened and the current candle is weak, which suggests it is turning down. My chart is showing a cross already so I am in

AUDUSD 4H: Yeah, I've got a bit on it. Target 1.0750. Conservative, smallish possie.

Hi Allan

What's the indi you have there with the grey and green dots, and the alert arrows?

I know we shouldn't have to use them, but they do look to confirm the green/red cross.

cheers

If you look down, you'll see a fairly strong band of support (1.6415 and below that, a lot of price action over last couple of days). While it may get there, it's only about 30 pips away as I write. Worth the risk?

Also 4H and Daily most certainly not even hinting at short, but who knows the future?

Glad to hear you have some past experience in trading the Forex...should make it easier...right?
USDCAD 4h was taken well past the 1st-2nd APB although the TDI was pointing down at about 4 o'clock position, too far into this pair for a Great Settup...No Trade.
USDJPY 4h TDI did tick slightly green below red but turned into a bit of a bounce trade to the long side. Which is also in line with the way it has been trending the last few days...so, you took a short on a small retrace as it were and it turned around and continues now with the trend...up.
Retrace trades, as you know are not without more risk...
Hope this helps...
Cliff

Sounds right, so this equates to 0.7 Lot. But I understand Big E has said he does not use a hard stop. It is a discretionary exit if he believe the setup is weak (if I understand correctly). I personally will keep trading small lots until I am much more comfortable.

Today I traded H4 only. Had some bad ones initially where I did not follow the rules. But when I did it started to happen and have now made up all the losses and more. Best trade today is GU (attached) still in with over +100 pips. Signs are still strong.

I will not post my really bad trades because looking at the them now it is clear that it was a mess. I don't even know why I took them at the time. But a reasonable example is the GU attached. The red line is where I entered. I exited during the next candle with -22 pips as the TDI dropped. I can see now that the candles were small and the TDI was weak even though it had crossed.

Thanks Cliff.

The UC trade was taken on a bounce, at least I perceived that zigzag to be a bounce.

The UJ short trade was taken under good conditions with the support of the daily trend. According to big E the trend on H4 and daily are only used to guage lot sizing (unless neither TF is in the right direction, in which case it would be a no trade).

I wont give up on this yet but I can see why big E only enters under perfect conditions now. I think that will turn out to be a critical rule for the success of this system, rather than merely maximising profits.

I just got out of the GBP/USD trade due to the TDI going flat. Would this be a correct exit?
