Thinking about Alpari UK and Hotforex.
If your choices are between Alpari UK and Hotforex,


Go for Alpari UK, fully regulated by FSA.

HotForex is Just simply a bucket-shop.

I didn't try Alpari micro account, but their pro account is great. Based on this I can recommend you to go with Alpari.

Yeah, Alpari UK over HotForex. But there are many STP brokers now providing a good server with low spreads and have deposit requirements of < $100, so i wouldn't restrict yourself to just those two.
you can open micro account in both and compare.
I did this before.
I suppose, that's it's really better to compare work of different br0kers. Do not be obsessed only with one broker. There are many variants
