By using multiple time frames and candle stick formation I will uncover how to pick the CCI tops and bottoms while trading in the trend of the bigger time frame (in this instance: weekly). At H4 EU price are at the upper line of BB & the negative correlated major currency pair USDCHF has building a hammer & a pos. divergence at the monthly chart.

Pending Order short @ 1.4250.

Conversely movements should be hedged at M30.

Multiple Time Frame Analyse

One option could be to begin by looking at the daily chart to identify what direction we looking to trade e.g. by using the middle line of the Bollinger Band indicator. A currency pair trading above the 20 EMA could be in a short term uptrend, opposed if the market price is trading below the 20 SMA should be in a short term downtrend.

Just as we have find the market direction we move to a smaller time frame, e.g. H4 or H1 and take a look there for a possible slightness(weakness) in an uptrend (is tangent to the bottom band of BB) and force (strength) in a potential down trend (top of bands).

Also you can take a look at the EMA200 (Daily, H4). Might be that H4 s under EMA200 before resuming in the daily uptrend which could be seen above the EMA200. If H4 are running below the EMA200, it could bucking the trend.

See also at possible candle sticks reverse bars (engulfing pattern, shooting star, in bar, hammer, etc.) at the BB lines;

I never traded CCI and wonder about it effective, do you feel it quick or slow?

The next CCI(14) Bottom at H1 could be a profit level or one of the downstream underlain pivotal points DR1 or DPV.

Stop Loss could be 15 points above the next H4 pivotal point or the last highest H4 candle before your entry point or at a resistance line which could be often drawn, if so. Usually I hedge these positions at one of these next lower time levels (M15/M30) when the open position could running further on in the opposite direction or let the market enough breath at the next higher timeframe (e.g. of building an H4 divergence with triggering and additional uniflow position). To set a stop loss - it's depend on my actual deposit size and my Money- & Risk-Management. I don't trade with the 2% rule.

CCI gives great signals for Swing traders by forming a divergence at H1/H4 levels.

CCI is a great value for me and principal of great practical interest. CCI gives me a visual indication of a market price in the Forexjungle extremely fast and simple and I can use it at any timeframes and in conjunction with the multiple time frame analyse. I can't imagine my indi-tool without it!

Since I usually trade with Harmonic Pattern ( partly build on RSI divergence)
I wonder do you have any Indicator for automatically detect CCI divergence?

And that worked out fine. I lost my internet connection for a couple of hours right after i placed a bit of tiny shorts right up there at the top, so i couldnt close em until it was way to late. Thats life i guess.

I have googled "CCI Divergence Indicator" some time ago and I think I have got several indicators back in the days, but I have delete all of them from my harddisk concerning the aspect on a positive note that my eyes are faster. I look at the monitor and at the same moment I see these things (hidden divergence, positive div., price action, trendlines, ...and so on), so it had been no value for me to use this. Sorry!

This is likewise an example how you could also read and how to use the multiple time frame analyse option in conjunction with the actual market situation and the CCI Tops & Bottoms.

When I trade I feel free for myself to switch through the time cells here and there. You could go out at H1 CCI(14) Top at 0.9190 and earn +37 pips. It's okay. Why not? On the other hand the H1 MACD could indicate a zero line crossover and the same at H4 CCI as well and the market price could going on for a crossover upon the middle line of BB at H4. So I would stay in the trade and let it run further on might be till the next higher time frame level H4 CCI Top or up to one of the next pivotal points DR1 0.9211 or DR2 0.9240.

In case of need if the market prices would falling down you could hedge the backfalls at M5/M15.
