Folks:
This week I had losses and also DUMB losses LOL. Losses ranged from -3% to -11%.
In general my observation was that if by Wednesday morning I don't reach my target I should just close and take the profit that I have.
I was in profit at the beginning of the week for all of the accounts but the market just gave those funny turns. Then the dumb loss happened where I left OPEN PENDING ORDERS lol.

I will give more details later. But lets see what happens next week. The original Freebie looks very promising. LOL it was the only one that gained 13% and it did it with one trade LOL.

Have a great weekend... I myself have a busy one with alot of travel .

{quote} Reamasesa: Thnx alot for the detailed information. Really good stuff. So let me start to explain what we could do and what happened with your EURGBP full SL. I can tell you right now... if you had used the latest EA, that trade would not of happened. Unfortunately I noticed a bug that we had experienced not long ago. A bug I thought I had fixed. The bug was that once in a while the EAs will look at the previous Days pivots and use them instead of the pivots for today. In order to save cpu I tried to have the EA calculate the new day pivots...

Oh! Yes!
I like this idea very very much. Having a hard SL but at the same time the EA will keep an eye on changed environment and if it's not a healthy one, change the SL accordingly. There's no need to suffer the full SL, in my opinion if we see the conditions have changed. They changed, we bail out. That's what had happened with the small losses and should happen, if possible, with the full SL trades.

As for the buffer, why 27 as default? I'll play with it and let you know.

Thanks. I'll upgrade the EAs later on, it's been a busy week for me.
As you can see, hands free, we're progressing very well. Thanks for all your hard work.

{quote} Reamasesa: Since u are having problems with the indicators here is a template for the 3C approach. A 3C trade has the following 1. 3sema (above/below) 2. zigzag (above/below) 3. failed pivot the zeroLag is used to determine upper trend direction green - long yellowish - short The reason you are probably having problems is cause the indicators are heavy front loaded. What that means is that the indicators will load as much info at the beginning when they are just loaded. Once that part is over, then it's faster. What is all that info? IT's...

Hi,

No, the week starts at 00:00 on Sunday, which is considered Monday.

Got to go now so I'll use the template later and let you know.

Thanks.

Here we go again folks, I am excited. This week already started in great shape, I just got back from seeing the Capt America: Civil War movie, it was awesome!!

So, this week I am only running the Live Oanda(Boloso), Tallinex(3C), and Tradeking(v22) this week.
If v22 is successful again this week, I will start a live account with it next week. 3C I need to make more interventions and what I mean is just take profit when I see it. I have been inconsistent with the 3C and it's time to do that.

Of course more upgrades are coming with some of the new ideas and etc. Please let me know if anything screws up and make sure to include the log. The log helps alot to clear things up.

Keep at it, be patient, you guys are already on the path!

Don't say anything! I haven't seen it yet!

Week started with two full SL from both 3C and Boloso, trades were opened last week with previous version. Still have 100$ in floating profit, though.

Travel well, J.

Hello the latest results of 3 -4 days of trading, I would say good compliments, I can not run the trail stop. Normally I used an EA trail that ran all the graphics, but with the magic number no longer works. The settings are: DAILY, YES, ZERO LAG, HAS CANDLES, NO. The rest default.

gianniko: thnx for the update. Please explain your trailing stop concern. Tell me does it not work at all?? Please tell me the input settings u are trying and we can take it from there and fix the problem.

Keep in mind, the trailing stop was changed to a jump trailing stop, ok? There is a difference between a instantaneous trailing stop and a jump trailing stop
With the instantaneous trailing stop, the stop is moved continually after the 1st time price has reached the trailing step pips.
With the jump trailing stop, the stop will only be moved if the EA sees that the new stoploss will be X pips from the current price. So in essence the trade will always at the least have X pips of stoploss. X being the trailing step pips

Folks:
Stay tuned, I have a couple of ideas that will help cut down the Stop Loss on the regular and 3C versions. I will post these ideas in a bit for your review/comments I should have them in the code by this weekend (or maybe earlier).

Jess

Hi,

Woke up today and all my trades got closed (in profit, but still), not sure why as only two out of the five had JTS and I don't use the weekly profit.
Logs are filled with high, low, zerolag and other such niceties and I can't find my hands and legs.
J.? Any thoughts?

3C right? Please email me your logs. ([email protected])

Look for the files in
MQL4/logs
and for in case also get the log files in
/logs

Just pick the files from the date when these trades happened.
Plus save your inputs to a set file and send that over.

As for the info, there are two things going on. The log line with zerolag was placed there to make sure that the zeroLag is detected correctly.
For example:
15:30:40 EURUSD Close[1]: 1.4343 zerolgVal: 1.4555 diff: 212 higherTrend: -1;
Close[1] is the closed price of the previous closed candle
zeroLagVal is the value of that indicator at the close of previous candle
diff is the difference between Close[1] and zerolagVal in this case 212 pips
higherTrend is what the EA determined is the higher trend direction, short in this case (+1 would be long).

So when you go back to the Time the trade took place you can see what happened between zeroLag, Close, and the higherTrend.
This info is used to confirm that the buffer condition I put in is working. So since the buffer is 27 pips. If the EA was trying to do a short trade then
given the values u see it would not do it. cause the diff is 212 pips (> 27 pips) even though the upper trend is saying Short (-1).

For the other logs, I blocked it off with empty lines and with title lines (the lines with =====). The info between these lines is what the EA SEES before it takes a trade. So with this u verify that all conditions were met or not for the given trade. The conditions being like pivot failure, HA candle color, Trend, stoch cross, etc etc...

I'll show an example of how to read the file...

Reamasesa:
Check this image out. This is from one of the older Freebie EAs, the log lines are not separated but look at the lines that start with "xm7_Freebie_EA_vOANDA"
In this image you can see all the conditions were met (upper trend long, white HA candle, etc etc) but the trade was not taken cause the trade was too close to the upper Daily average range. In addition the low sema dot is not present anymore cause price fell more and at that moment the 3sema dot was at a lower level.

http://www.forexfactory.com/attachme...2&d=1449731348

The idea is to be able to look at this stuff and ensure that the logic matches the approach and the correct trade is taken.

he trail stop was disabled, because usually use a trail that runs all the graphics, but now does not work anymore, perhaps because of the magic number.

Weekend Updates.

Interesting WEEK. Very interesting.

1st, v22 ended up with a -5%. Not bad, so lets see how it does next week. I shut it off so the EA had no more activity for this week
.
2nd, Boloso it fell by as much as -8% but now it has a small runner (AUDUSD short) and is at -3.4%. Again there was some profit at the beginning of the week (+2%) and what I am seeing is that if by Tuesday evening I do not see the profit that I should just shut down and wait for the next week.

3rd, 3C was interesting this week at first it fell by as much as -18%,, Right now there are 3 runners (Trades at BE with no TP). The account is no at -2.4%.
See image below, it shows the 3 runners.

SO WE DO IT AGAIN, TILL WE GET THAT STREAK GOING AGAIN!

Guys:
The week has started. Good luck to all. I recommend that u be stingy... for example if u see that your account is down 2-5% and you don't like what the trades are showing you.. close all the trades and don't trade till next week. AND DON"T LOOK AT THE CHARTS FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK lol. I know it is hard to do that but you get use to it.

This week I started with open positions. Both of these accounts were down last week, 3C was down by as much as -18%. But luckly I got runners on that one.
All trades are BE. When Monday starts (London time) I will start up v22.

HAve fun...
