Price changes over time, but time doesn't change the price. If supply and demand is what makes the price to change, then supply and demand is generated by traders and they certainly follow time unless they work at random hours of the day. So indirectly time controls the price

Hello Kapitol and members I was wondering if you could assist me with a few questions . I just bought out some old paper charts and drew some arcs and price boxes on them just to get back into things as I haven't traded for a long time and not really up to speed with with what new trading programmes are on the market but I believe timing solutions software can plot this type of Geometry on the chart . In the past I have plotted arcs and boxes on the charts by hand but it is a bit meticulous and labour intensive and wanted to shift the process to a programme which would probably be more accurate providing the time and price co ordinates were properly scaled . I do have an old copy of Ganntrader which a comprehensive programme that I was very familiar with but haven't used it in years but it's still there although not exactly sure if Ganntrader can replicate the price boxes on the chart in the same manner that ting solutions can although from recollection it has a comprehensive application on circles so when I get it set back up will investigate this closely . so my question is when I purchase an EOD data package for Ganntrader do you think it would be a good idea to purchase the timing solutions platform as well as it may have specific applications that are a useful addition as I am not sure how I could set two platforms up on the same data feed or if I would need to . As an example there may be three or four applications in the timing solutions platform that I require that is not available in Ganntrader so would I have to purchase the whole programme with an independent data feed and run two days feeds simultaneously as the two programmes might run off different days feeds regards Grant

I have started this thread to explore the element of time in trading.
Ignored
The reason I responded is I empathised with the OP the struggle and time he went thru to be a better trader or something.
Ofc I cannot tell much bc I dont know you at all and what you trade and how you trade. Or you may be here to teach or sell some peripheral products or something.
Even the definition of time element in trading is a tad ambiguous bc trading is non stop 24 hrs except brokers and dealers are closed on weekend and some public holidays.
Or the best time to trade is when all the major markets are open starting with Tokyo/Shanghai London and N York.
Or the time when assets classes PA start to hover, glide or fly/land.
Personally I assume it's the last you are referring to from what I read.
If it's not then sorry there won't be much to discuss and share.

Good luck and trade safely,

Cheers
