Irish government bonds are crashing - buckle up for a New Greece event

I frankly thought it will be Spain and Portugal before Eire, but here you go.

The interest being sought on 10-year Irish bonds today is creeping towards 8%.

90 billion euros come to rescue Ireland. I guess after the EU bails out Greece and Ireland, then it can look forward to bailing out Spain and Portugal and Italy and then it will be time to start bailing out Greece and Ireland again.

Btw, from my Irish aquaintance: local media here is pretty much conceding that we will be bailed out imminently.
