Does anybody know where to download this indicator for MT4? Here is how it looks like for those who don't know it.

My understanding is that volume is not very useful for forex as the indicator will only show the volume for your broker and will therefore be inaccurate.

That beeing said if you want such an indicator search for "Market Profile".

you won't see the real volume, because the market is unregulated, therefore not very useful at all, unlike stocks, where the volume you see really means something

Hello,
I have found an indicator called Effort index for Amibroker. I think it'll be helpful to have it for MT4, because i couldn't find a similar version. It could be helpful, maybe in combination with other indicators such as Better volume.
Unfortunately I don't use Amibroker, therefore, I don't really know the logic behind this AFL code.

You cannot get Volume information from MT4 just tick counts.

Agree but...
If you compare the price feeds from several brokers price tends to move pretty much in harmony across the market. Effectively, the data pool is normalised on each platform as you're not comparing tick volume from one provider vs another - you're comparing tick volume from one provider against the price movement from the same provider for the same pair on a bar by bar.
Please read the information regarding this indicator.

I downloaded the one refefenced earlier in this thread..........But I am using another one I found in another thread........This thread is short.....easy for me to digest..............This indicator is actually very useful.......it shows volume on price for what your broker is doing......

FOREX is not on an exchange.......so the information this indicator gives is with the broker and its representation of price.....
Very useful.....

I have just learned about volume analysis about a month ago.......it seems I can use only this to trade (eventually)
