This was much harder than eu BUT on a 10 min tradeguider picked up a No demand

1)doji with highish volume
2)up candle BUT immediate rection was down candle = weakness still there and not ready to breakout top of channel
3)highest volume squat bar after seeing the 2 bar reversal a few bars early . This was my entry as hulls was also red . 1.5920 entry

How much do you relay on hulls? Are you ever going long if vsa is showing long but hull is still red? Same thing with short? Does hull has to show its reaction minimum at 15M for you or you are entering even when it reacts on 5M? I kind of could miss my entry if I would wait for hull reaction on 15M. Thanks.

f^$ck it...just more of a gamble than that of a well informed decision

maybe only thing that pops up to me as obvious is the relatively smaller size of dip compared to last rally...
rally is almost as 3 times as bigger compared to the last dip-to-dip drop

It's very difficult to make an informed decision with that resolution. Zoom in a little.

nah at some point u really dont need to, u just become very familiar with the tape and its malicious deviations ...dont really want to get into it right now

as for the informed part...just take a look at the opposite of e/u
u/chf im not saying it will work ! it could and u have good chances on both these bets

u dont even need volume for that second one ... per se

almost looks like a no demand of sorts. If you look at that same zone on a 15 min you will see 2 x no demands after that 60 min UT

I just let news brain wash me Monday and missed the bulk of move Monday

those of you with tradeguider look at the 2 hr and the red trend cnadles and set h stops to 2.25 and 1.75... never go aginast these lol .

In fact i just took a long HDU.to tofay due to H stops dropping under price for 1st time in weeks.... 11.90 entry 11.50 stop for potential 10 to 15% trade in my pension plan

I will post some tradeguider...

Hi Mal,

What are "h stops" ?

It is only available in Tradeguider ?

Thanks.

MTM mentions that if the market doesn't rise up when the background is strength, it is sign of weakness, and vice versa.

I am not sure and also confused.

Hi Polomine,

Also been re-reading that section.

My interpretation is that if you expect one thing, and it does another, then there is a Failure Pattern, and we should do the other thing.

We expect Strength, and Weakness prevails, then we must go with Weakness.

Recently been observing that I expect a Long-pattern, but it Failed, and so enter the Short-pattern instead.
The only difference is that because did not enter the Long-pattern yet, it was easier to initiate entry on the Short-pattern.

If already in Long-pattern, then it was harder to reverse decision to go Short. This is where we all need to improve in reversing positions.

Observe on your own of the Failed Pattern, Failed Expectation, and you will see some good run going the opposite way.

Cheers,
FB.

Thanks for your opinions. BTW, h stops maybe means hunting stops, I am not sure how to identify them on the charts.

Hello fellow traders
I had been a lurker and finally decided to join in.
VSA is something that I'm trying to understand deeper and had read MTM and planning to reread it. Hopefully I would have chance to discuss ideas among you all. Lots of good ideas circulating in this thread.
Thanks to Malc and the rest of the active contributors that make this thread alive.

Lots of confluence on eu 30 min. 50 MA, daily pivot, last weeks low and trendline hovering just above price right now. Is EU going to continue to go down? VSA around 1.3445 will tell

H is like trailing stop...available in TG only...might be comparable to Parabolic SAR indicator like some traders use it for.

Hi Mima, Polomine.

It is just a form of ATR stops, here is a close approximate comparison.

Anyone else seeing more (relative) buying here than selling? The 40 pip range is being covered on a regular back and forth basis, but I see buying at a level like we've not seen for 1-2 days ... granted, it wouldn't take a lot for the bears to take over; a visit for another ~50 pips up to the DPP at 1.3452 and then we see what happens. GU exhibiting very similar behavior and pattern.

Interesting that right up until the 5pm NY close (line on chart), PA looked like it was going to fall off a cliff. Asia then basically paid no attention to it (unless they were buying), and many of their markets did reasonably well. And there are a few optimistic Irish sound bites out there, although lots of euro negative stuff to chew on too. And although USD seems to be on the weak side, the correlation to EURUSD doesn't seem to be there.
